From Beirut with light

The premium lighting manufacturer @pslab celebrated its 20th anniversary in Beirut – the place where it all began. For us, it was the very first time visiting Lebanon, and we were instantly fascinated: by its energy, creativity, and vibrant culture.

A trip to Tripoli took us to the breathtaking, yet never-used international fairground designed by Oscar Niemeyer, today part of the UNESCO World Heritage. At PS_Lab’s production site, we witnessed their remarkable precision in manufacturing and got inspiring insights into research, prototyping, and lighting design.

Beyond that, there were hikes through the vineyards, unforgettable food, and the striking beauty of Beirut – a city full of contrasts: the sea and the mountains, lost places next to new builds and luxury. All embraced by the warmth of the people, the soft air, and the scents of the Orient. It was love at first sight.

Most importantly: this trip never felt like business – it felt like spending time with friends.

We are already working on three exciting projects together with PS_Lab, including our own hotel project @hilden_retreat – and we can’t wait for what’s to come.

A heartfelt thank you to the whole PS_Lab team, especially Mario and Dimitri.
