Do you read Sutter Cane? Really looking forward to this Saturday, I'm taking my buddy to see John Carpenters In the Mouth of Madness at the @normal_theater it's another one I've seen but he hasn't. I know he'll enjoy the Lovecraftian/Carpenter chaos and the brilliant and sadly missed Sam Neill! #normaltheater #inthemouthofmadness #johncarpenter #samneill #indietheater

ABOUT THE FILM:
Timid dork Edie accidentally takes the spotlight when she starts a punk band with her fellow “turds”, becoming an icon to the rest of the losers at her all-girls Catholic school while managing to piss off the hot girls, the nuns, and the most lustful altar boy you’ve ever seen.

“Infused with the visual stylings of Scott Pilgrim with a dash of School of Rock, yet entirely it’s own, Edie Arnold is a Loser is an absolute winner.”
- Kristy Strauss, Film Inquiry

“I guarantee you, if [Edie Arnold is a Loser] got a wide release, it would have a cult following in a day.”
- Juju Green, “Straw Hat Goofy”

“A sensational, hilarious buddy comedy that will make you want to embrace your inner loser.”
- Kristy Puchko, Smashable

Timid Catholic school dork Edie Arnold is dragged to a punk show where a mishap lands her onstage behind the drums. She’s mortified... but a natural. Convinced by her best friend, she secretly forms a band called The NunDead. Her newfound confidence leads to a date with the altar boy but also a fight that gets her suspended. Thinking she bailed on their first gig, her bandmates bust her out of the house just in time to win a Battle of the Bands. But when she faces expulsion and her mother’s wrath at a disciplinary hearing, footage of her kick-ass performance has an unexpected effect on her mom. NR / 73 min.

A SXSW favorite, this special roadshow screening will feature an in-person talkback with members of the cast and production team!
