Marching season ‘26

This season will forever be the most memorable to me because of the friends and family in this tiny but mighty team. I’m so proud of how much we’ve grown and pushed ourselves throughout the season and i’m so incredibly grateful to be able to have my best friends out there with me on the field. Junior marching season over and out!

if you were to ask me what these past 5 years have meant to me I would say everything. from shining as a beacon of light, turning it upside down and to take you home, to embrace winter and to put it into sand and stone. I didn’t know what I was getting myself into as I signed up for my 8th grade year but this is one thing that I will never regret. I have watched people come and go but the passion and dedication have never left. we are small but mighty and we have never let that get in our way. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for this program and to watch the community last for so much longer. I will miss everyone so so much and I wouldn’t ask for anything more of this season. after winning 2 grand champs and watching the guard win 1st places at our comps fills me with so much joy. I will love this chapter of my life and would continue it if I could. thank you to any staff, parents, and members that have made this last season worth marching for. lastly, WE ARE BLACKHAWKS!!!

they really wanted me to add another to the collection

words can’t explain what this feels like. I am so beyond proud of the band and guard for the amount of hard work they have put in. to be a senior and winning my third grand champion in a row brought tears to my eyes. this moment will forever hold a special place in my heart and shows that hard work really does pay off

This was more than just a short time

This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to make. My four year winter guard career is over, and while I hope to continue past this, I can’t guarantee anything. This activity has shaped me as a person. I wouldn’t be who I am today without the community that winter guard has provided me with. I will miss this forever and always.

I’m letting go of my last layer…

If she changes her mind this is the first place she will go…..

This show has been one of my favorite shows I’ve ever performed. It had taught me so much in skill and emotion throughout performing this season. I’m so grateful for another season with this amazing team and community. I couldn’t be happier with the way we ended it and the memories we made along the way. I can’t wait to see whats in store for next season!!

I guess we’ve left out final layers behind

this show has meant the world to me. I have been able to grow and channel real emotion into the activity I love the most. as we all grow up, we are leaving parts of our past self. with the layers, you will find new ones as you continue to become who you want to be. I will miss spinning with the people I have grown up with. now it is my time to leave my layers and take the next step to becoming a senior🐴🤎🌸

p.s. I’m not done yearning with NB yet
