Most people don’t understand why we fight.
Then again, It’s not for them to understand. It’s for me to live it.

Sweet times reconnecting last weekend at TOC, TBA’s smaller annual tournament, first time brought to the West Coast.

Made the drive down with my wife @elenajohanek . Got to reunite with friends from a previous team, @northeast_muaythai . Surreal to grab food again and help out with their fights.

Also ran into friends from @puumuaythai a month after moving from Ventura. Plus folks running the event from Iowa, where I first started Muay Thai.

This event was where I had my first fight. And remains my favorite tournament. Nice seeing many of my worlds come together, and proud of everyone who fought.

That’s a wrap on TOC 2026. While we didn’t get the results we had wanted, we had a great experience.

Thanks to @theresa.branco @jlai602 and Baby Beef Roll Branco for all of their help this weekend with weight cuts and cornering. More fight news dropping soon 👀

Fight 19 - 2 belts and the #1 spot in the country on the line.

Fight was going good until my opponent landed a long knee that dropped me in the third and again in the 5th that I never initially recovered from. Blink of an eye for a fight to take a turn, and at this level you cant lose focus for a second. Hats off to Zach and his team. Pure class from his whole team.

I’ve won national titles. I’ve lost fights. I’ve traveled, stepped into rings I never imagined I’d see, shared moments with people I never would have met, and pushed myself further than I ever thought I could.

I don’t know what’s next, I don’t have to know right now.

But when I look back on the life I’ve lived through this sport, I’ll see a man who dared to be great. A man who strived to inspire others. A man who kept showing up, win or lose, and every time he stepped into that ring, he fought with his whole heart.

And I think the people who watch me fight feel that too.

💎

Wouldn’t and couldn’t be here without my team. Incredibly grateful to stand along side some of the greatest people I know and for them to pour so much of their time and efforts into me!

@nosch31 @gabe.branco thank you for believing in me and investing so much of your time. Haven’t been at @northeast_muaythai long but man we’ve got some great memories already!

@billyperrier my dawg since the beginning - when I had my first smoker. Guy gets beat up every day in camp by me and is always there for the next round helping me get better!

Thank you @warriorscup_3pp for the opportunity 🙏

Such a great weekend @nmta_usa scrimmages with these three! First fights are some of the greatest experiences I think for both fighters and coaches. Mike, Mike, and Karsten did so well and all three showed incredible heart and effort. Excited to see where they go next in this sport! Thanks NMTA for the opportunity 🥊

Awesome showing yesterday at Ignite Fights for the BMAA team!

@makhithompson06 started us out strong with a unanimous decision win. He did a great job of mixing up his tools, staying active with his footwork and finding his knees in the clinch. He put in WORK this camp and it showed!

@angelthefreak_ had a dominant performance that unfortunately ended in a no-contest due to an accidental foul. We are so proud of his composure and strength in the ring. His knees and elbows had his opponent looking for a way out! He has grown as a fighter this camp and he showed that tonight. Way to go, Angel!

Coach @alex.fig.gy had a banger performance. He used devastating low kicks mixed with strong clinch to win his fight via TKO in the third round. You know if Alex is in the ring, it’s going to be a SHOW. Those elbows were nasty 🔪.

@shakurrs365 finished out the night with another incredible performace! His footwork, feints and wrestling were all on display. He ended up with a unanimous decision win with multiple judges scoring it a 30-26.

Congratulations to everyone who fought tonight!

Thank you @ignitefights , @nosch31 and @segjeremy for putting on a great show and giving our fighters the opportunity to showcase their skills.
