ICONZ : Hulk Hogan, the Real American ! (1953-2025) 🇺🇸🔥🖤

🇺🇸 C2PO pays tribute to the one and only Hulk Hogan who passed away a little over a year ago, on July 24, 2025. Born Terrence Gene Bollea he would have celebrated his 72nd birthday on August 11. 🖤🔥

"Mister America" was and will forever remain an absolute icon of 80s and 90s pop culture, the ultimate embodiment of American-style entertainment with his antics, clichés, over-the-top persona and excesses but also a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor ! Hulk Hogan was pure Hulk Hogan and that’s exactly why we loved him ! 🇺🇸🔥

Hulkamania was born on January 23, 1984 when he won the WWF World Heavyweight Championship against The Iron Sheik, becoming the first wrestler to break his opponent’s submission hold, the "Camel Clutch". After his victory Gorilla Monsoon exclaimed : "Hulkamania is here !" 🐫🔥💪

"Real American", the hit song by Rick Derringer, became so inextricably linked to Hulk Hogan that it became his signature ring entrance music. 🇺🇸🎸🤘🔥

May he rest in peace in the WWE pantheon 🖤🙏

ICONZ : Catherine O’Hara, Tim Curry, Brenda Fricker 🖤🙏🥲🎬🇺🇸🇬🇧🇮🇪

🇺🇸 2026 is shaping up to be an annus horribilis for fans of the iconic "Home Alone" duology... After the passing of the great Catherine O’Hara on January 30th and Brenda Fricker on July 16th, the news of the highly charismatic Tim Curry’s death on August 25th, at the age of 80, is a devastating blow... 🖤🙏🥲

While Macaulay Culkin reportedly teased a potential sequel to this cult saga not long ago, young Kevin McCallister (who has certainly grown up since then) has lost his mom (Kate), the Pigeon Lady he met in Central Park, and now Mr. Hector, the concierge at the luxury hotel where he stayed during his New York escapade, all within the span of a few months... C2PO is heartbroken... 🖤🎬🗽

We’re sharing the legendary theme by maestro John Williams with you here in a bluesy saxophone version that will likely bring a tear to your eye... 🥲🎷

May Catherine, Brenda, and Tim rest in peace. 🖤🙏

ICONZ : Tim Curry (1946-2026) 🇬🇧🇺🇸🎬🖤🙏🔥

🇬🇧🇺🇸 It is with deep sadness that we learned of the passing of the one and only Tim Curry on August 25, 2026, at the age of 80. 🖤🥲

Nothing predestined the native of Grappenhall in the northwest of England to become one of the most iconic actors of his generation. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

Tim Curry cultivated like no other the art of making up and cross-dressing to serve his acting skills. Through his gaze, his voice, his presence, the characters he played leave an indelible mark in our memory. 🎬🔥

We obviously think of the Transylvanian mad scientist, bisexual and transvestite, the famous Dr. Frank-N-Furter, his first major role in 1975 in the film adaptation of the very rock ‘n roll British play “The Rocky Horror Show”. 💋🎭

We also think of his interpretation in 1990 of the iconic clown Pennywise in the mini-series adaptation of the horror novel “it” by the master of the genre Stephen King. Tim Curry doesn’t just play Pennywise he is Pennywise ! 🤡📺

Pennywise ! 🤡📺

Que Tim Curry repose en paix. 🖤🙏
