THE 12 DAYS - DAY 7 - LIGHTEN UP

Santa 🎅 has a lot of houses to stop by but you’ll be one of the first with this VEGAN EGGNOG MARTINI 🍸. It’s made with two simple ingredients: eggless, plant-based eggnog and brandy. I’ve been searching for years for a lightened up version of one of my favorite holiday drinks that actually tastes as delicious as the rich eggnog from my childhood. This vegan, adult version with holiday flavors of nutmeg, cloves and ginger will have you feeling like Santa’s helper in no time with @califiafarms Holiday Nog (almond milk) or @chobani Oat Nog.

Check out www.notablynapa.com for the recipe and don’t forget that health is about balance and moderation. Don’t worry, you’ll still be on Santa’s “nice” list. ✨

This PUMPKIN SPICE SMOOTHIE is the “real deal” and ultimate expression of fall! As we hopefully head into colder weather, there’s nothing more comforting than wooly sweaters, knee-high boots, and a pumpkin spice drink in hand. If you are a PSL (pumpkin spice lover), then this is your drink. Plus, this smoothie actually contains real pumpkin (vitamin C & E, iron and folate) to help you fight that seasonal cold and strengthen your immune system. Top it off with some homemade Vanilla Whipped Cream (see my previous video on IG, TikTok or YouTube), ground cinnamon and pumpkin seeds and you’re in PSL heaven.

INGREDIENTS
2 cups vanilla nut milk or oat milk
½ cup canned pumpkin purée
1 scoop Orgain “pumpkin spice” or “creamy vanilla” protein powder
1 tbsp flaxseed meal
2 tsp ground pumpkin spice
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp pure maple syrup
ice, handful

Optional toppings:
whipped cream, ground cinnamon, pumpkin seeds

DIRECTIONS
Place all ingredients in a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Pour smoothie in a large glass. Add whipped cream, ground cinnamon and pumpkin seeds to the top. Enjoy immediately.
