Best day ever.

On September 12th- we got married in the backyard at our home, and celebrated with one heck of a reception at @brunoscoffee.co

I wore the dress my Grandma Sheryl made for her own wedding, my mother’s veil (that was made from her mom’s wedding dress!), pearls my Grandma Linda received from her mother as a graduation gift, red boots (a gift from my now-husband) and a bracelet that Lane made for his mom that she wore on her wedding day. Every part of the day was draped in love, with the cherry on top of sharing Lane’s Great- Grandparent’s wedding anniversary.

I love Lane so deeply. We are so blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful friends and family. There’s a thousand photos I would like to share- because every single moment was so precious and special.

Thank you for so beautifully capturing the day @kaydargs ā¤ļø

July 2022- @kaydargs introduces me to Lane on the patio of Wild Terra.

New Years Eve 2025- Lane proposed in Glacier National Park. I cried like a little baby. It was the best day. We decide that coffee shop is this year, wedding is next year.

July 2026- Bruno’s is open for a whole month. We decide to move up our wedding date by a year to get married this summer. We just want to be married.

August 2026- @kaydargs is an absolute angel and takes our engagement photos 3 weeks before coming back to Fargo for our wedding.

I would share every one if I could. She’s the most talented woman. I am so grateful for her mad photo AND matchmaking skillz.

While I’m saddened to hear of Youngblood’s unexpected and sudden closing, I’d like to take a moment to remember everything that place gave me.
I remember the day YB opened, I showed up too late and was going to leave but they gave me a cold brew on the house. I kept returning. It became a sacred place @kaydargs and I would spend countless hours at.
YB gave me one of my best friends, @notactuallylane
The summer Lane and I became friends was chaotic and so very fun. I remember the pep talk Kaytlin and Lane gave me one night in 2016 to leave my toxic relationship. I remember making pour overs being a little hungover after sleeping on Lane’s bathroom floor. I remember my diet being about 80% sourdough bread and drinking so much coffee I would shake.
We developed a sensitivity to a room where you could feel what record to put on, how loud to play it, and quickly adjust when it wasn’t quite right. We developed a hustle and sense of care towards patrons I hadn’t experienced at a job before.
YB lit a fire under my ass and a love for hospitality that I can’t shake. It also stressed me the fuck out and probably has something to do with my acid reflux problems but you can’t have it all. A lot of us former coworkers charmingly describe this mix of urgency and skill as ā€œhaving that Youngblood in youā€.
YB is where I first met Stephanie. She brought Kiba in when he was just a puppy and ordered a turmeric tea. We became inseparable. YB is where I first met @karlimcmartin . @must.be.aaron and I worked the final shift before covid shutdowns with her. We met again years later and instantly sparked, I’m proud to call this sweet babe my girlfriend šŸ–¤
Between coworkers and patrons, my friendships grew and grew. A lot of the skills I bring to @starbirdlounge are things I learned or developed at YB. While I’m disappointed in the sudden closure, I wish so much for the baristas and patrons to have had a heads up and get to say goodbye to the space, I’m thankful for the time I had there and the bonds I cherish now.
