Recently, I’ve been deep diving and reconnecting with my roots, revisiting my early creative inspirations and reflecting on how much my taste, craft, and sense of quality have evolved over time.

While I’ve been in this introspective season, I went back to my old Google Drive to see what was left after my university deleted my school account when I graduated. Among the few things that survived were my old analog photography files.

Analog photography was something I eventually gave up. Back in high school, most of my allowance and freelance earnings went into that hobby. As you can see from the photos, I used to shoot a lot of random, everyday things, nothing extraordinary, just me and my friends hanging out.

Looking back, I realized that some things haven’t really changed. I’m still the same person. I still enjoy long walks with a camera in hand, experimenting with angles, filming my friends, my girlfriend, my trips, and even the most ordinary moments, like a random Wednesday subway breakfast. I still genuinely enjoy this process.

This season of reflection has rekindled my love for cameras, which explains why I’ve been saying yes to the most unexpected projects lately. At the end of the day, I’m still me, just with better equipment, a little more experience, and (hopefully lol) better financial decisions.

Sharing these random film photos I took 10 years ago, back when I brought my camera to school almost every single day.
