Open invitation to a spontaneous one-day summer school that engages with questions around anti-fascist aesthetics and Marxist form, and how they possibly shape and are shaped by political and social imaginaries.

Over the course of one day, twelve artists, researchers, and practitioners share their work and ongoing research via a series of short workshops, exercises, reading groups, listening sessions, and poetry readings, framed by our ongoing discussions.

Contributions move from an analysis of historical and contemporary fascist aesthetics, of the horror of the trivial and generic, as well as the role of money and wealth against fascisisation, to the political, social and aesthetic conditions of collective organisation. Engaging with Lu Märten’s monist concept of art, and the historical practices of amateur literary movements, we think with relations of labour, authorship and anti-fascist nostalgia. With metonymy, sabotage, doubt and disruption as methods and modes of production we ask what forms of collective organisation they enable or obscure, and sketch out a shared conceptual terrain for thinking together.

With Cami Brogaard, Eric Guo & Jan Kunkel, Nick Kopppenhagen, Moritz Gansen, Beatrice Martini, Enda O’Riordan, Julia Rosenstock, Adrienne Teicher, Cassie Thornton, Elbe Trakal, and Nisaar Ulama

Our program follows in the tradition of anti-schools, self-education and reading groups, and is open to anyone interested in collective learning and thinking together to join!

Whoever keeps them alive:

Every issue of Arts of the Working Class (AWC) enters the public realm through readers who make its circulation possible.

To subscribe to the street newspaper is to extend that movement—to support independent publishing as a shared infrastructure for thought, conversation, and encounter.

And, on the final day of @48stundennk, join us @ivallansbooks for an experiment in relay-reading!

Fourteen tremendous Berlin-based poets will perform continuously, one after another, weaving fragments of previous readings into their own.

Together, we will create a porous, reverberating field of poetry: an unborder, an anti-border, an anti-non-bordering-un-border (and I can't wait to hear how that sounds)!

We begin at 4pm sharp and do come early to grab a seat ☀️

The Collective Autonomy Reading Group invites you to join 𝘈 𝘋𝘦𝘣𝘵 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘱. For at least 4 consecutive rehearsals, the group will engage with DEBT in its many shapes and apparitions, including: the historical relationship of debt with social institutions; the politics of the commons and capitalist accumulation; unpayable debt; the role of debt relations in the neoliberal project. Taking David Graeber’s “Debt: The First 5,000 Years” as a starting point, the reading group will let DEBT unfold in all directions, weaving through Silvia Federici, Denise Ferreira da Silva, Fred Moten and Stefano Harney, Maurizio Lazzarato, Lamia Karim, Verónica Gago, Max Haiven and others. 𝘈 𝘋𝘦𝘣𝘵 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘥𝘺 𝘎𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘱 culminates in a fuzzy-shaped open rehearsal of notes on debtor and creditor roles. Come add your marginalia.

rehearsal schedule (so far):

Yesterday we were, like Zarathustra, against the spirit of gravity. Everyone who came, danced through the evening – and thus honoured this graceful medium which is work on paper, in such sprezzatura-execution by @brouwer_giel. We said "Two Drawings", but there were two paintings. But we've inscribed something essential by the misnomer. Thank you all, who came and joined the conversation.

Join us next Saturday for REAL EKPHRASIS:

January 17th - 4.00 PM @chertludde_books

With Ghayath Almadhoun (& simultaneous reading in English by Beatrice Martini @notes__on)

Ghayath Almadhoun will read from “I have brought you a severed hand” (published by @actionbooks and @dividedpublish)

Caught between two exiles, the one inherited from his Palestinian father and the one he chose and lives, Almadhoun attempts to explain water and tame hope. @ghayath.almadhoun

Ghayath Almadhoun is a Palestinian poet born in Damascus. He writes poetry and has been translated into nearly 30 languages. Currently, he lives between Berlin and Stockholm. Almadhoun has published five collections of poetry in Arabic, the latest being “Adrenaline” in 2017 and “I Brought You a Severed Hand” in 2024, both published in Arabic by Almutawassit in Milan.

REAL EKPHRASIS is a reading series curated by Susan Finlay (@susanellenfinlay) and Erin Honeycutt (@cutt_press) in parallel with David Horvitz’s (@davidhorvitz) exhibition (22 October 2025 - 7 February 2026).

First of all, it’s 13/12, ie ACAB ie let’s destroy all permutations of authority and capital. An appropriate day to share our contributions in issue 5 of Brossura @aglimpseof.press , a journal of logomachic formations against the various “cops” of our epoch.

At the same time, we want to express our profound sadness to learn about Dimosthenis Agrafiotis’ untimely passing. We are grateful for his friendship, his singular poetic work, his love and advancement of collaborative multidimensional poetics, political internationalist art practice, one of which is his Crisiology project-theory, that we are proud to be part of, as he supported our Amphoteric Poetry theory/architecture by publishing our anarchist epic poemanifesto entitled

LIPOS-POLIS (found in our linktree)

As a small token of our love/gratitude we dedicate to him these 4 poems, namely our Marusya Press vispo, Komodore’s poetry with QR codes of the composition “The degree to which life happens” from jazz duo BUGAM DASI and a Mayakov+sky Platform anarchist docucinepoem entitled THE CHILDREN REVOLTS that chronicles the occupation – that the Platform was part of – of a building which was once a free school for Black and Brown youth called Emiliano Zapata Street Academy High School and its remarkable architectural metamorphosis into a 24-hour communal library-garden.
