We got a new interview! Niveous ⚔️

"This is a genuinely dense mythology for a debut album. A monolith from deep space, an entity called the Void Star, an extinct race called the Sorn, and a resistance leader who happens to be the last of a dying people. Where did this whole universe come from, and how much of it lives in your heads beyond what made it onto these six songs?

Vokar: The idea for the universe came after we discussed the potential of doing a concept album about a 2nd ice age. I just took the ball and ran with it. With a lifetime of reading and watching scifi the ideas just flowed out of me. The Void Star mythos/universe is constantly on my mind with different ideas to continue the story."

It’s taken some time to settle but I think I’ve finally recovered from another week away in majestic Montana at @fireinthemountains 🔥🏔️🐻

This festival continues to be one of my favorite events of the year. This last week may have been one of the best weeks of my life. Period. It was almost like homecoming driving across of the plains, seeing the mountains rise in the distance, knowing what was approaching and the promise it held. Rejoining my friends and metal family in the woods, spending days with them in the sun and wind and water, it was divine. When it all came to a close, man it was hard. I wanted any excuse to stay a little longer, hug my friends one more time, talk with them a little longer. It’s because of this fest I found many of them and I am forever grateful for it.

Shout out to all of the amazing artists who played! I don’t know how FITM does it, but they know how to make pure magic happen. The epic returns of 16 Horsepower, Neurosis and SubRosa, the debuts of Ponoka (@deaddoglake is the best MC and an epic drummer) and Gallowbraid, exclusive performances from I, Borknagar, Full of Hell, and Ruins of Beverast. I finally got to see YOB and Sigh, and crowning it all, two performances from the wonderful Amigo the Devil. Getting to meet him and thank him for his music was joyous, thank you Danny for that little chat on the beach.

Thank you to all of the wonderful staff and volunteers of Fire in the Mountains for their incredible work and another incredible week. Thank you to the Blackfeet Nation for welcoming us to their land and for their endlessly generous hospitality. I once again hope we were good guests and that you have us back next year. Thank you to the @firekeeperalliance for their amazing work. And thank you to the Cult of Caffeine! Love you all!

Keep fighting! Keep the fire alive! Suicide is not an option! See you in the Mountains! 🖤🔥🏔️🤘
