QOTD : Who's your favorite Disney princess? 👑

😭 It's so difficult because I love almost all of them. I really like Ariel because I love mermaids. But then I also like Cinderella. I also like Jasmine.

Ah... it's too hard. 🥹

You guys have zero idea how long this post has been sitting in my brain, but I finally made it... and it turned out so cute. 🥹✨

I'm actually loving Instagram's new multiple captions update because it means I can yap as much as I want. Finally, Insta did something right. 😭

This post has all 13 official Disney Princesses, but I also went a little beyond that and included a few royal heroines from other original Disney movies because I couldn't leave them out. 🥹👑

Like I mentioned in my last book rec post, I've been wanting to do a Disney-themed book recommendation series for the longest time. 🥹✨

There are so many Disney movies (especially the 2D ones), so I'm splitting it into different posts instead of trying to fit everything into one.

The last one was inspired by the Tinker Bell fairies, this one is all about the Disney princesses and royal heroines, and now I'm trying to figure out what to do next. 👀

This has been the plan in my head for a while, so let's see how long I can keep the series going. 💖

For Cinderella, I chose Fishbone and Never Ever After for very different reasons.

I think Fishbone is pretty self-explanatory just from the title, but it's so much more than a Cinderella-inspired story. It's a multigenerational novel with touches of magical realism that explores womanhood, family, and generational trauma. While there is a great male character later in the book, the story isn't romance-focused. What really made me pair it with Cinderella is how well it captures the themes of surviving cruelty, especially the dynamic of an abusive stepmother, while still holding onto hope.

Never Ever After by Sue Lynn Tan, on the other hand, is a much darker take on Cinderella. It's a Chinese-inspired retelling that expands on the familiar fairy tale while adding its own unique twists. If you've ev
