THIS SUNDAY: CELEBRATE the HISTORIC 48 YEAR ANNIVERSARY of GREASE!

In collaboration with 61st Street Creative Productions, we present our most VISUALLY COMPLEX, CREATIVELY CHALLENGING, and EMOTIONALLY DIFFICULT show yet! Featuring a LIVE BAND and over 25 individual performers, “VIGNETTES FROM GREASE” is at once a REIMAGINING, DECONSTRUCTION, and MEASURED but PASSIONATE love letter to the original GREASE (1978) and to a lesser extent, GREASE 2 (1982), and to a lesser extent, GREASE LIVE! (2016).

Please, be there early if you are interested in sitting.
Xoxo,
Sam & Carson & Kat & Lily & Becca & 61st St. Creative Productions

Fiore Petricone’s Senior thesis project “A Walk Down Bedford Avenue” is a four-channel sound installation tracing the layered history of one of Brooklyn’s longest and most storied streets. Using two distinct compositions, one narrative and one abstract, the work moves through the communities, conflicts, and transformations that have defined the avenue across decades. The narrative composition weaves interviews, archival sound, and original voice into an experimental audio documentary. The abstract composition dissolves those same elements into texture and space, asking listeners to feel the street rather than follow it. Together, they frame Bedford Avenue not as a place but as an ongoing negotiation between those who arrived, stayed, were pushed out, and what remains.

Fiore Petricone @notfiore is a New York-based storyteller, designer, and artist working across sound, visuals, and language. Rooted in the mundane, his practice uses documentation and experimentation to surface the details that make everyday places meaningful.

Come see the IDP Senior Thesis Show on Friday May 15 from 3-6pm in the Parsons Building, at 66 5th Ave!
