New York has a thing for keeping secrets.

Behind discreet entrances and down unexpected staircases, some of the city’s most interesting bars are hiding in plain sight. Think velvet rooms, low lighting and cocktails worth staying out for.

A little black book for your next night in NYC.

Save it for later. 🍸

Bedroom DJ to international clubs; investing in myself has been the best decision! 🎧🌎

🇵🇷🐸🇩🇴🗽

Brooklyn is home, but music has blessed me far beyond my zip code ✈️ What started in a college bedroom grew into a lifelong journey — unforgettable crowds, late nights, and friendships I’ll cherish forever.

Every gig, every mix, every opportunity shaped the DJ — and the person — I’m becoming. 🙏🏽❤️‍🔥

Life is the story you choose to create, and I LOVE the life I’m creating. 🔥

Next chapter: investing in myself, embracing my roots, and sharing Caribbean music and culture with the world. 🌴🇵🇷🇩🇴

Where should I pull up next? 👇

5 PM sunsets are coming, but that doesn’t mean your night has to end early.

NYC might just be better after dark. From dancing above the skyline and finding hidden speakeasies to wandering museums after hours, experiencing exhibitions at night, stargazing at iconic landmars and scoring a last-minute tickets — consider this your reminder to embrace the earlier sunsets. Because we have a long time with them.

Save this for the next time you need an after-dark NYC plan.

I fell in love with NYC at a very young age, way before I could fully comprehend what it all is. To this day, I still can’t comprehend all of NYC. And that’s such a beautiful thing to me — to be so much, so vibrant, that you get so easily lost (and found). Julian and I — Julian, that’s my NYC friend (three houses joke) like to think that I was switched at birth with someone who was actually meant to be a Midwestern Ohioan because of how natural NYC comes to me when I’m there. I just… don’t jive with Ohio or the Midwest and never have. I feel really out of place in Ohio. NYC calls to me and makes me feel safer, strangely enough.

I only ever flew once before this trip. It was 5 years ago, and I flew from Cleveland to Seattle back to Cleveland all in less than 24 hours. 4 flights in less than 24 hours all by myself for the first time in my life. I did it to support someone who didn’t even care that I made the effort, and never showed an ounce of appreciation for me, despite how incredibly anxious (and young) I was to be traveling across the country by myself. I’m so glad that this time around I had the best person on Earth to hold my hand while I silently cried at take off. Once we were coasting, I quickly got over the fear. I was endlessly enamored with how I went from being blinded by, and suddenly, above, the clouds. Not a bad sight to see in the middle of a panic attack.

Almost a year ago, I waited in an online queue of over 15,000 people to surprise Bruno with the orchestra concert of his dreams. Fast forward to this August, and we’re making our way into Radio City Music Hall. For those unfamiliar, Joe Hisaishi is the composer for all the Studio Ghibli films. We were about 10 rows away with a perfect view of the whole thing, and of course Bruno sobbed due to its beauty and utter perfection. I got pretty emotional too, which honestly I wasn’t expecting for this part of our trip.. about halfway through the concert, I realized where I actually was and teared up. I’m sitting next to my partner in the same room my favorite legends have performed in. Won awards in. Had fun in. Cried in. So many beautiful and talented people have been in this same room, and here I

Guest Night Out! @edwardgibbonsbrown gives us his perfect night out - check out his show, @anneofathousandfaces opening next week!

6:00pm: Yakitori Totto, 251 W. 55th Street, 2nd Floor
Look up! You might otherwise miss it. Tucked onto the second floor of an unassuming West 55th Street building, Yakitori Totto has been quietly grilling Japanese yakitori over charcoal in Midtown for more than two decades. Grab a seat at the counter overlooking the grill and order your way through skewers, small plates, sake, and whatever looks good coming off the fire. It’s intimate, lively, wonderfully unfussy—and just a couple of minutes from the theatre.

7:30pm: DOUBLE FEATURE: Anne of a Thousand Faces & The Rubout, American Theatre of Actors, 314 W. 54th Street
Five hundred years after Anne Boleyn’s death, and she's still getting notes. In Anne of a Thousand Faces, an actor arrives to audition for a new Broadway play about Anne -- and objects to the woman she finds on the page. The audition becomes an experiment in which she inhabits the competing Annes history has handed down to us: lover, seductress, witch, victim, revolutionary, martyr, muse. Watching is an experimental audience-modeling technology designed to determine which version people will believe. Darkly funny, fast-moving, and increasingly unsettling, the play explores Anne Boleyn, artificial intelligence, artistic ambition, authorship, government corruption, cultural capture, and who gets to control a woman’s story. Anne of a Thousand Faces is presented in a double bill with Meny Beriro’s psychological thriller The Rubout.

9:30pm: Nothing Really Matters, 50th & Broadway
Then go underground -- literally. After the show, walk down Broadway to the downtown 1-train entrance at 50th St. Instead of getting on the train, look for the seemingly out-of-place storefront tucked inside the station. Behind it is Nothing Really Matters, a neon-lit cocktail bar hidden beneath Midtown. It’s the kind of place that feels like someone has let you in on a secret: inventive cocktails, music, a little subterranean glamour, and one of those wonderfully improbable New York locations you could pass a hundred times without realizing.
