Time to say goodbye to Bulgaria—and this time not just goodbye to the snowboarding season, but to the place.

When I first came to Bansko, I just wanted to snowboard after over a decade of living in the tropics (and not even seeing snow). And it turned out to be a nurturing ground for a whole new chapter of my life.

I will be forever grateful, but I also feel my time here has come to an end. It’s a feeling I’ve had many times before: when a chapter in a particular place closes.

I’m now at the airport waiting for my flight, and wanted to share a few highlights from this season (that like every year before was absolutely magical!)

A few highlights:

2️⃣-3️⃣
This is my 3rd year learning to carve, and I’m happy with my progress.

4️⃣
And I’m especially proud because after my accident back in August, all the doctors told me I could forget about snowboarding this year.

5️⃣-6️⃣
Bansko is home to the Alpine Snowboard World Cup, so every year I get to meet some cool people on the slopes. This year I bumped into celebrities (yes, that’s the guy from Emily in Paris!), Poland’s national team and a few top athletes

8️⃣
Reunited with friends I met in Bali. Pretty crazy to meet them here in Bansko, out of all places!
And we recorded a couple of great podcast interviews.

9️⃣-🔟
And among it all, a little romance was born…
Well, not so little 🙂

Bansko, thank you for everything. You will always be in my heart.

Could the meaning and purpose you seek be right there within your childhood dreams, that are still there, maybe buried - but are still there deep within you?

Could you come back to those? And truly discover what you are being called for, and contribute to during your time in this world?

What if I redesigned a thumbnail for Luiza What if I redesigned a thumbnail for Luiza Samarova…

Because sometimes, great content doesn’t get ignored… it just doesn’t get seen.

A thumbnail is more than design.
It’s the moment someone decides, “this is worth my time.”

Same message. Same value.
But one visual can be the difference between being skipped… or being watched.

That’s the power of getting it right.

She’s accomplished. Caring. Working and contributing to her family and society.

And she has absolutely no idea what she ACTUALLY wants.

Because for as long as she can remember, the question hasn’t been “what do I truly desire?”

It’s been “does this look good to others?”

The relationship. The role. The way she shows up for everyone else first, martyring herself and her wellbeing.

Women are so conditioned to externalise their worth and PERFORM a life that looks good from the outside, that her inner voice gets quieter and quieter until it’s barely a whisper. (Thank you, patriarchy.)

Until one day she realises she’s become a complete stranger to herself and she has no idea what she truly wants.

This is a conversation we don’t have enough.

This dream never left me, even though my light had been dimmed so much. What dream is still calling you, even after all these years? @samarova_

When @samarova_ asked me about a bold move I’ve made (this woman is GREAT at asking the questions that elicit your deepest responses), I could have said launching my business, moving countries, putting myself on the INTERNET for all and sundry to critique, etc.

But the honest heartfelt answer that emerged was - leaving my long term relationship. Walking away from my relationship and the life I thought I was going to live, wasn’t easy - but staying would have been a slow disappearing act.

If you’re sitting with a decision that’s quietly terrifying you - maybe this gives you permission.

Everyone says to tune into your intuition or instinct or inner knowing - but how do we do that?!

The incredible Luiza @samarova_ had me on her podcast @notjusthisplusone recently and we uncovered so much gold in a short period of time - including the mechanics behind how we amplify our intuition! ✨✨

Join us for this important conversation over on Spotify, YouTube & Apple Podcasts.

And please share below - how do you know when a message is your intuition speaking to you? ♥️
