We are saddened to say goodbye to Matt Dalton. Matt was a supporter of Turner Motorsport and was always happy to be at the track. He loved racing (especially in the rain!) in his Hello Kitty-themed helmet. Matt drove a Turner BMW M4 GT4 in VP SportsCar Challenge and shared the car with Patrick in Michelin Pilot Challenge. He will be missed by many. 💛💙 Rest in peace Big Dog!

This past weekend we said goodbye to an amazing human being- Matt Dalton.

Matt had a contagious energy of laughter, fun, wit, sarcasm, generosity & empathy. He was always happy, and so gracious just to be where he was in life. We cannot count the moments of crying laughter he brought to our team. We will always be grateful for his time on our team, and especially winning a Ferrari Challenge championship! Rest easy Matt…

One of the last times I saw Matt Dalton at the track, I had just gotten back from Hawaii. When I said I had brought something back for him, he replied “is she blonde?” In fact she was, just in the form of a Hello Kitty plush keychain. “Yes,” I replied, “and she has flowers in her hair too.”

That kind of easy going jovial vibe is what perfectly encapsulates what it was like to work with Matt. He was never without a smile at the track. Whether he was driving or just there supporting, he always was happy there. His seemingly random love of Hello Kitty and our endless texts of the odd ball merch id see in my travels that reminded me of him always were a source for smiles.

The world lost a driver, an IMSA Ferrari Challenge champion, but even more a great guy. His bear hugs, laughter, and friendship will be missed deeply at every track he ever visited. Thank you for the years of memories, the trust in my business, and the personal friendship outside of it. @notladracing
