🛹 Thursday, October 29, we return to the skatepark with X CLUB. 🛹

There is perhaps no better act to bring back into Brooklyn’s favorite halfpipe than Aussie duo @xclub___ . High-octane rollers paired with etherial, thoughtful songwriting have earned them a reputation for turning dance floors inside out.

Joining them is a line up of local heavy hitters, @michelle__kay making her long-awaited RAW CUTS return, and RAW CUTS debuts for @notlanavese and PAN!C ROOM’s @madebyduco b2b @y2aura.

Importantly- this is meant to be something different during one of New York’s biggest party weeks. Not a Halloween party, a party before Halloween. No costumes here- just high energy selects in one of the best DIY venues in Brooklyn. You can trick or treat on the weekend. Thursday night is to lock in.

Location will be sent to ticket holders on the day of show. See you in the half pipe 🛹

🛹 No phones. No VIP. No Costumes.
🛹 The dance floor is for dancing
🛹 Culture and community first
🛹 Respect each other, the space, and the artists
🛹 Smile! Headline sets are recorded

@justinjaymusic has this superpower of seeing the good and the potential in every human being. He is the first well established musician to believe in my project and support me in my productions.

His approach is basically to not give a fuck : release as much tracks as you can because you never know what can happen, keep on being optimistic and amazed by things happening to you.
By getting along with him, you not only become a better artist but most of all a better human being.

And I am pretty sure that he also elevated a big community of young talented musicians like @iamdavyboi @reedfeldman @officialbucky_dj @notlanavese @vidadeladiva (the singer in this video) to name a few

Born in the early ‘80s with the boom of the Roland TR-808, electro is the futurist sound that drew on early hip hop and fed into techno. Characterized by syncopated drums, vocoder induced vocals, and a futuristic, sci fi heavy aesthetic of robots, space, and the future, often drawing on Afrofuturist roots.

The mother of many now popular genres, such as Miami bass and electroclash, electro is having a major resurgence and Rave Renaissance is drawing on that energy :)
