Everyone should own a Sprocket Rocket from @lomography. It’s a 35mm camera that shoots panoramic images and exposes on all of the film thus exposing the image on the sprockets.

It’s so easy to use. You’ve got sunny & cloudy aka f16 or f11. The shutter is 1/100th or bulb. And the focus? Even easier. 1.5-3ft is “close” or 3ft to infinity.

Basically point click. And it has a hot shoe for you flash nerds.

You get 18 photos on a roll of 36. 12 if you’re out there wildin shooting 24 exp 35mm.

Now walking around stuck at f16/11 at 1/100th is pretty limiting at 400iso. But pop in Kentmere 400, rate it at 3200 & push it 3 stops in development? Easy.

Taken earlier this month at @filmschoolroadtrip Norway.

What a trip with a great group of somewhat strangers. I knew a couple peeps going in but when you gather a group of like minded folks who all love photography and gather in a place that is screaming to be shot good things just ensue.

We’re super close to announcing the 2027 lineup for @filmschoolroadtrip. 10 locations around the globe, 9 attendees, me & 2 peeps from @thefindlab. 2027 we’re gonna be road trippin!

Ektacolor Pro 800 is one of our favorite color filmstocks. It’s got great latitude, and amazing contrast and saturation, the only downside is that it’s pricy.

We recommend rating it at 400 and developing normally for slight overexposure.

It’s really cool to see people from all over come together, unplug, be present, and react creatively to these places we go for @filmschoolroadtrip.

Burnout is real and there is something to be said about picking a camera up for yourself vs work. There’s nothing worse than feeling like it’s work when you reach for your camera.

Being around like-minded folks who aren’t looking at their watch or rolling their eyes when you bring out the camera or are up for the “holy shit pull over!” excursions is priceless.

Getting lit up and reminded why photography is the chosen medium to express ourselves is the goal of these trips. And this trip didn’t fail in delivering just that.

Norway, you beautiful beast you.
