The day we tied the knot in the 100 acre wood 🪵 🐻 🤎

100 years of Winnie the Pooh, my favourite childhood memories of “being braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, smarter than you think and loved more than you’ll ever know.” 📖

Today, our Collective Imagination Huddle joined the Hounslow Assembly to explore how communities, organisations and public services can work better together.

Through a Systemic Constellations workshop, we used movement, roles and relationships to make the system visible: who feels connected, who gets overlooked, where pressure sits, and what stronger partnerships could look like.

We imagined a thriving Hounslow in 2050 and explored themes including loneliness, trust, third spaces, communication and community connection.

A reminder that sometimes, to understand a system, you need to step inside it.

The future of Hounslow should be imagined with its communities, not just for them. 💭🌱

Thanks to @hounslowcouncil and @tarujar for the invitation and @bertiebrown1998, @halimagosh and @nourabida_ for facilitating the workshop.

Swipe to find out more about what we got up to ✨

Thank you to BBC Embrace and BBC Asian Network for recognising me as part of the inaugural Rising Roots 2026 list for my work in trying to unite communities and celebrate what brings us together as British Asians and South Asians in the UK. Huge congratulations to all of the awardees and it’s an honour to share the list with such esteemed names who I admire and who have inspired me in my journey so far.

Thank you Edward Odofin and @imetahmed for putting on this event - I hope it’s the first one many!

My mentor’s name is Nour, which means light in Arabic. As someone who’s blind, I’ve always said my eyesight depends on light—and over the last four months, she’s been exactly that.

Stepping into the BBC was a dream, but having Nour by my side made the journey even more meaningful. She taught me something I’ll always carry with me: like a boxer, be prepared for the unexpected—don’t flinch, just be ready.

Most importantly, she made sure I was never overlooked. She saw my potential, believed in me, and because of her guidance and advice, I’ve been able to create opportunities for myself that I never thought would be possible.

One moment that will always stay with me was my recent showcase. Without hesitation, Nour volunteered to do the live audio description. As someone who’s blind, that meant I could fully experience a moment I’d worked so hard for. But it wasn’t just about me—it showed the importance of accessibility and what it means to step into someone else’s world. It reminded everyone that small actions can make a huge difference, not just for me, but for future voices still to come.

I can’t thank you enough, Nour. Thank you for believing in me, challenging me, and always making sure I had the confidence to keep pushing forward. These past four months have been unforgettable, and I’ll carry everything you’ve taught me into the next chapter.

The only way is up—and with Nour by my side, the future is even brighter. ❤️

🚨 @cannes_lions 2026 – THE POWER OF 3 HAS ARRIVED 🚨🦁

Introducing the @emergeerg Power of 3 Cohort, heading to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2026.

This isn’t simply a group attending a festival.

This is a collective of leaders, storytellers, marketers, journalists, creators, strategists, innovators, and change-makers coming together with one shared purpose:

👉🏾 To ensure representation is matched with opportunity.

👉🏾 To ensure access translates into impact.

👉🏾 To ensure diverse voices are seen, heard, and valued in the world’s most influential creative spaces.

A huge thank you to @documentedbykabi for helping bring the Power of 3 vision to life through exceptional creative work and visual storytelling.

Thank you to @blackthingsuk for supporting this journey and helping ensure that the experiences, voices, and achievements of our cohort continue to be amplified.

Because one thing is certain:

The story of Black excellence cannot simply exist in Cannes.

It must be documented.

It must be amplified.

It must be televised.

It must be remembered.

And it must inspire the next generation to believe they belong in those spaces too.
