Day 353 of 1,000 | 1000 Days to Build a Birth Center Campaign

What started as a blueprint to make sure my friends, my family, and my neighborhood were not left behind has become a blueprint for so much more.

A birth center. A movement. A new model for care.

We’ve done the research.

We’ve traveled.

We’ve listened.

We’ve learned from birth centers near and far.

We know what needs to be done.

Now, we have to do it.

And now I need to know:

WHO’S IN?

Who truly wants to help make a birth center in Queens a reality?

Who can I count on?

Who else should I know?

Who has resources, relationships, expertise, space, funding, skills, or simply the willingness to roll up your sleeves and build?

Because this cannot be built by one person.

We need all of us.

24,000 babies born in Queens every year is counting on us.

Being part of the African American Day Parade in Harlem is a reminder of what happens when we come together: celebrating our history, uplifting our communities, creating opportunities, and carrying the work of those who came before us forward.

From the streets of Harlem to communities across the country, our organizations continue to create spaces where culture is celebrated, service is action, and the next generation can see themselves represented.

This is what community looks like. This is what legacy feels like. 🖤❤️💚

Today, 7 people from Queens saw the vision firsthand.

Today, I supported 7 families in my support group which ended with one of my support group members praying over me, the vision, and for my strength.

It’s a #RhoyalFest roll call: Frat Edition

If you aren’t with the Poodles everyday then who are you with? The brothers definitely brought the energy and the support was real.

Thank you to all the frats who came through and helped make RhoyalFest 2026 another one for the books!

Shoutout to the vid editor: @ni.dondada 💙💛
