Hi everyone! My name is Maurice Davoren, as many of you already know, and I have had the honor of serving as President of the Student Senate this academic year.

After my time here at SUNY Orange, I plan to continue my education at SUNY New Paltz, where I will major in Political Science.

Over the last two years in the Student Senate, one of the greatest opportunities I’ve had was serving as Student Senate President. In this role, I was able to see firsthand how our college operates, represent the student body, and witness so much engagement throughout campus.

I’ve always had a strong interest in government and history, so having the chance to lead the Senate has been an incredible experience. Watching the Senate grow and stay engaged throughout the year has truly been one of the most rewarding parts of my time at SUNY Orange.

I am so appreciative of the opportunities I’ve had here at SUNY Orange. If someone were to ask me whether I would change anything about my decision to come to SUNY Orange, I would honestly say I wouldn’t change a thing. My time here has given me memories, moments, and friendships that I will always cherish and never forget.
