Extreme Environments. Architectural Possibilities for a Challenged World // David A. Garcia // Danish Architectural Press

The book ‘Extreme Environments’ is an examination of the intersections between technology, culture and environment through the lens of architecture.

This comprehensive volume, enriched with interviews, essays, and detailed research documentation, delves into defining an architectural method for considerate design in some of the world’s most extreme settings and pressing challenges. From the cold expanses of the Arctic to the desert regions of the Gobi and pollution-heavy industrial territories, the book investigates how architects can integrate site-specific presence, fieldwork and investigations, local knowledge and contemporary technological advancements to create resilient alternatives both at home and abroad.

Bogen udkommer d. 23 maj.
