A LITTLE KINDNESS GOES A LONG WAY

No act of kindness is ever wasted. Someone, somewhere, is better because you chose to care.

As we begin a new week, remember that you don’t have to do something extraordinary to make a difference. A kind word, a helping hand, a listening ear, or simply showing up for someone can mean more than you know.

At the Nigerian Red Cross Society, we believe that humanity begins with the little things we do for one another. Every act of compassion, no matter how small, has the power to bring hope, restore smiles, and remind someone that they are not alone.

This week, choose kindness. Choose compassion. Choose humanity. ❤️🤍

You never know whose life you might change simply by choosing to care.

Happy Monday! Let’s make this week count! 🌍

The Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oyo State Branch, was invited by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Toll Gate, Oluyole Command, to train its personnel on proper casualty handling and infection prevention.

The training emphasised the importance of using gloves, taking necessary precautions when attending to casualties, and providing appropriate care while protecting both the casualty and the first aider from potential infections.

One Day, You Might Be the Only Person Who Can Help. ❤️🩺

At the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oyo State Branch, we believe that First Aid is everybody’s business!

That’s why we took lifesaving knowledge to thousands of corps members at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ise, teaching them essential skills to help someone in an emergency.

From Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to recognising an unconscious casualty and knowing what to do, we are equipping more people with the knowledge and confidence to act when it matters most.

Because when emergencies happen, knowing what to do can make all the difference. ❤️🚑

Have you ever received First Aid training? Tell us in the comments! 👇🏽

❤️ Mental Health Matters. You Matter.

Sometimes, the strongest people are fighting battles we cannot see. A little kindness, a listening ear, or simply asking someone, “Are you okay?” can make a world of difference. ❤️

This World Mental Health Day, the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oyo State Branch, reminds you that caring for humanity also means caring for the mind. Let’s break the stigma, offer support, and create a world where no one has to struggle alone. 🫶

Your mental health matters. Always.

LEARNING, SERVING & HAVING FUN ALONG THE WAY! ❤️⛑️

This week, the Nigerian Red Cross Society, Oyo State Branch welcomed our CDS Corps Members to the Branch Office for their weekly Thursday CDS meeting.

The session featured an insightful training led by the Branch Secretary on proper casualty manual handling — teaching the correct and safe ways to carry and transport an injured person after treatment. ⛑️

With practical demonstrations, hands-on learning, questions, laughter, and teamwork, it was an engaging session filled with valuable knowledge and, of course, a little fun! ❤️

We’re always happy to have our CDS Corps Members with us and look forward to more opportunities to learn, serve, and grow together.

Together, we learn. Together, we serve. Together, we save lives. ❤️

Every act of kindness can become a reason for someone to hope. ❤️

This International Charity Day, let’s choose to care, give, and show up for those who need us. Together, we can make compassion count.

Every act of kindness has a story. ❤️

A hand extended.
A person cared for.
A community supported.
A life touched.

Charity is more than giving what we have; it is choosing to see people in need and refusing to look away.

Through every outreach, every helping hand and every selfless act, the Nigerian Red Cross Society continues to stand with communities and bring hope where it is needed most.

On this International Day of Charity, we are reminded that we all have something to give — our time, our resources, our skills, or simply our kindness.
You don’t have to do everything. Start by doing something.
Be the reason someone feels seen, supported and not alone. ❤️
