Glimmers are the those tiny little bolts of happiness that make you feel a moment of unexpected joy... even if just for a second. I used to sprint past all of them, chasing the big stuff. Turns out the big stuff is mostly made of these. So I’m learning to stop, notice and soak it all in. And you know what? It really helps extend the moment and help me relive it a little... ⚡️🙃💛

Now your turn. Tell me your recent glimmers in the comments. I’ll go first: today it’s the sea view and zero emails. What’s yours?

I’ve lived in Mumbai for 26 years, and somehow, until this year, I never quite got the Ganpati fever.

Of course I knew Ganpati. The music, the dhols, the Ganpati Bappa Morya chants from every corner of the city. But I’d never really stopped to understand what it all meant - or allowed myself to immerse in it.

This year felt different. I wanted to lean in a little. To understand the stories, the rituals, the joy and the sheer madness. And honestly… I think I finally understand why Mumbai loves Bappa so much. ❤️

Ganesh Chaturthi celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha - the remover of obstacles, god of wisdom, new beginnings and good fortune. And I love that we don’t keep Bappa forever. We welcome him, celebrate, pray, sing, eat modaks, dance, make memories… and then let him go through visarjan. There’s something beautiful about that reminder of impermanence - of beginnings and endings, and learning to let go.

But what I love most is what the festival feels like. A reason to pause. To be grateful for what we have. To ask for strength for what lies ahead. And to bring family - the one we’re born into and the one we choose - together to celebrate life.

And because I can’t do a festival without sneaking in my favourite things… I even squeezed in a game of mahjong! 😂🀄️

I’m not religious in the conventional sense - my religion is positivity, kindness and hope. And maybe that’s why Ganpati finally feels like something I can connect with, in my own way.

Because we could all use a little more of that. Gratitude. Hope. Good energy. And people coming together to celebrate life. ✨

So, 26 years in Mumbai and finally…
Ganpati Bappa Morya! ❤️🙏🏽✨

@gqindia’s Best Dressed 2026 took us straight back to the 90s — and honestly, I was very happy to time-travel. 😄 From the throwback fits and swipe-for-the-references moments to @dj_uri_scratch dropping one nostalgia-fuelled banger after another (the kind where I actually knew every lyric 😂), it was one of those nights where the theme really came alive.

A little 90s kid energy, a lot of dressing up, and somehow… I made it to #GQBestDressed26. 🪩🖤

I think I’ve officially decided that “Kinda chic” is less of a trend and more of a life philosophy. ✨

Kinda chic to reinvent yourself.
To have a sister who’s your person through every era.
To keep the same best friend for 20+ years — questionable decisions included. 😂
To be a dog mom. 🐾
To build a life you don’t need a holiday from. 🌴
To choose kindness, spread a little love and actually enjoy what you do.
To evolve faster than the algorithm. 💻
To keep meeting people who make you feel more alive. 🥂
To believe your best years can still be ahead of you.
And, perhaps most importantly, to stay curious enough to keep becoming someone new.

Because maybe getting older isn’t about becoming more serious — it’s about becoming more yourself. 💚

Now your turn: what’s your “Kinda chic” life rule? Drop yours in the comments — I might steal my favourite for the next slide. 👀✨
