I just love the work I do and the cool opportunities I get to have, and the incredible people I get to meet doing it!

Today I filmed footage for my speaker reel, along with friend and business associate, Jenn, @elevatedthinkinginc and other fabulous neighbors attending the @nsacarolinas Speaker’s Academy.

Speak or Treat conference begins tomorrow at the beautiful @embassysuites Myrtle Beach. The organizing team has done an amazing job and I can hardly wait to see what they have in store for us!

Ever since I joined NSA Carolinas, Second Saturday has become a non-negotiable on my calendar!! Rain or shine, as long as I’m in town, I’ll be there!! 🌧️☀️

Yesterday morning was rainy, chilly, and gloomy. I was wondering how many people would show up on a morning like that. 😆

We still got a wonderful turnout!! So grateful to everyone who came out despite the weather, and especially excited to see quite a few new faces joining us!!

We had such a fun and engaging morning!!

We brought back our “Fix the Speakers” activity for Part 2 because we received such great feedback last month. I’m actually thinking about turning it into a series! 😆

What I love about this activity is that we can all relate to these fictional speakers on some level. Sometimes we feel like, “Oh my gosh, that’s ME!” 😳😆

We also did the a $500 challenge! If you had extra $500 per month, what would you invest in your speaking business? Hire a VA? Invest in something else? 🤔

And we wrapped up with some reflections on what we wish we’d done sooner, what we’d do differently, and what we’d NEVER do again if we were starting our speaking journey all over.

What I love most about these activities is hearing everyone’s experiences, perspectives, and ideas. There’s so much wisdom in the room!! We’re all at different stages of our speaking journey, and we can learn so much from one another while taking away what works best for each of us. ✨

That’s exactly what I hope to create with every Second Saturday gathering.

A place where we can learn from one another, sharpen our speaking skills, exchange ideas, have FUN, and most importantly, genuinely support one another as we grow.

Because I truly believe we can all win together!! 💕

A special shoutout to Stan Phelps for sharing the founding story of NSA Carolinas!! And a big thank you to Russell W. Scott, Alex Dumas, and Caroline Sangal for all your support making everything run smoothly!! I appreciate you all!!💗

Thank you to everyone who showed up, participated, shared your wisdom, and made yesterday a special one!!💖

I hope we’ll see you again next month!!😍💕

What a joy to reconnect with Joy Carter, professionally known as “Joy Hooper”! ❤️

We first met around 2022–2023 through Toastmasters, and what a privilege it has been to know her personally!

Joy is a former Hollywood stuntwoman whose credits include Kindergarten Cop, Fried Green Tomatoes, Devil in a Blue Dress, and Star Trek: The Next Generation, where she doubled for Whoopi Goldberg. She’s also an exceptional speaker and highly accomplished Toastmaster.

But what stands out most isn’t her Hollywood credits or speaking accomplishments. It’s her HUMILITY! Despite everything she’s achieved, she remains incredibly humble, gracious, and genuine.

I’m so honored that our paths crossed and grateful for the opportunity to reconnect. Some people impress you with their accomplishments. Others leave a lasting impression through their character. Joy does both! 🦋

When I say I’m not playing about my speaking, I’m not playing. 😁
First time attending NSA Carolinas as an official member.
I’m serious about getting better on stage, building the business around my speaking, and putting myself in rooms where I can learn from people doing this professionally.
This one feels good. 🎤

Book news!! My solo book, Love Forward Woman, is coming in 2027!! ❤️

It’s been a wild summer, and September was my busiest month yet.

Between speaking engagements and travel, I’ve felt like I’ve been running at full speed for the past few months. Exciting, exhausting, and fulfilling, all at the same time!!🤩😵‍💫😇

• Leading my first NSA NSA Carolinas Second Saturday as the new area champion
• Speaking at B.I.G. (Believe, Inspire, Grow)
• Delivering a keynote at the Whole Woman Experience
• Speaking at BetterStory Studio as a VIP speaker

September also brought a special celebration with Dr. Andrena Phillips and the other amazing authors of Unveiling Legends™: The Power of Becoming. I’m grateful to have contributed a chapter to this collaborative book as part of the Whole Woman Experience.💗

With so much happening, I had to take a break from writing my solo book. Now, I’m getting back on track. My goal is to finish the manuscript by the end of this month and release in early 2027, perhaps around Valentine’s Day 💕 or International Women’s Day 💖.

And that brings me back to this moment at the end of August, standing in Times Square with a billboard featuring me, my message, and my upcoming book!📕

My hope is that this book will help more women understand what it means to be a Love Forward Woman and how to become one, so they can reclaim themselves and choose love that moves them toward their values, their dreams, and who they are becoming.

That’s the heart of Love Forward Woman. ❤️

I can’t wait to share it with you!!💕

I was able to spend some time today with Michelle Edelen—a wife and mom first, who serves alongside her husband in ministry, as well as a professional speaker, TEDx speaker, and coach. 💕🙏🏽

I’m grateful for the wisdom, insight, guidance, and encouragement she shared with me. There’s something special about genuine conversations with women who are willing to pour into one another.

Thank you, Michelle, for your time, your heart, and your friendship. I walked away encouraged and grateful for our time together. ❤️✨

I’m still processing everything that happened on Saturday…

From contributing a chapter to the book, to the book signing, the author panel, and stepping onto the stage as a keynote speaker, The Whole Woman Experience truly came full circle! 💖

My keynote, “Nothing Should Cost You YOU,” was about my own becoming. Because becoming often requires UNBECOMING—letting go of the rules, limitations, and beliefs that shaped you so you can finally come home to yourself.

I’m so grateful that my message landed. I could feel it in the energy, see it in their eyes, hear it in their laughter, and feel it in their tears. That is why I became a speaker. I don’t simply want people to hear my words. I want to move something inside them.

Dr. Andrena Phillips, thank you for your vision, leadership, and commitment to creating this beautiful experience!

Kim Coleman, thank you for being an incredible emcee and bringing so much energy and laughter to the room!

And to my amazing friends Kristin Stewart, Alice Pryor, Rita Renee, and Tabitha Lewis-MBA, who traveled to Charlotte to support me, thank you!! Seeing your faces in the audience meant so much to me! 💗

What a day. What an experience. What a beautiful reminder of the power of becoming!! 🔥❤️

Yesterday, I traveled to Charlotte, NC, for one reason—to show up and support my friend and NSA colleague, Eve Keil.

And what a joy it was to sit in that audience and watch her COMMIT to the moment and COMMAND that stage from start to finish! 🎤🔥

What touched me personally was the way Eve connected her message to real life. There were moments when I laughed, moments when I nodded my head, and moments when I thought, “Yes, I know exactly what you mean.”

That’s what I love about great speakers. They don’t just give you information—they make you feel something. They make you reflect. They make you see yourself somewhere in the message.

As a fellow speaker, that really resonated with me because I believe our greatest impact happens when people don’t just remember what we said—they remember how our words connected to their own lives.

Eve did that.

I came to support my friend, but I left reminded of the power of a message delivered with authenticity, connection, and heart.

If you’re looking for a transformational, dynamic speaker to elevate your next conference or event, connect with Eve:

Congratulations, my friend. Job well done! I was proud to be there cheering you on. ❤️👏🏽

What a great time at the Raleigh Mic Drop Club: Q3 In-Person Meet-Up led by Lauren Beane! 🎤✨

I loved the interaction, hands-on activities, connections, instruction, and especially the honest feedback.

One thing I believe: the best way to protect and honor your gift is to keep improving your craft.

Even the best speakers don’t need perfection. We need PRACTICE. We need feedback. We need opportunities to stretch, learn, and grow.

If you’re serious about perfecting your craft as a speaker, this is a great group to be connected to.

Thank you, Lauren, for a great meeting and for creating a space where speakers can sharpen one another! 🎤💕
