✨✨✨Wishing this final cohort of the National Choreographers Initiative @ncidance all the best this weekend @irvinebarclay And sending out so much gratitude to Molly Lynch for her thoughtful vision of creating a space to allow creativity to flourish. I spent 2 summers at NCI - one as a dancer in 2007 when I got to work with Edwaard Liang @edwaardliang and Jerry Opdenaker @jerryopdenaker and work alongside truly brilliant artists. And again in 2017 when I was one of the 4 selected choreographers.

Molly’s vision, to give choreographers the time, space, incredible dance artists to work with, and the freedom to explore has been a gift to so many. I especially appreciated her thoughtfulness in curating the list of choreographers - my cohort was amazing - huge shout out to Robert Mills, Penny Saunders and Chris Stuart. We had the full range of experiences to share. I loved that Molly picked both seasoned directors and choreographers and also included folks like me - still in my dancing career but looking to dive more fully into the world of choreography.

It is so bittersweet that NCI is in its final days - but the legacy that Molly has created, and the creative doors she has opened for so many will continue to push the world of ballet forward.

This group of dancers is about to embark on a wonderful opportunity to dance on The Star of the Seas! I’m so grateful to be able to help them plan this Royal Caribbean Cruise. Not only will they be performing, but they will also be taking a jazz class with a professional onboard. Thanks @nsdanceacademy for trusting me with this gift to create such wonderful memories for your dancers! Spread your light and your joy! 🚢 Bon Voyage! @nsdanceacademy @royalcaribbean @mindandbootymama @ginam615 @defeoamber @kylidemeyere @nscheuerr

Snow White was so bitter sweet. Getting to dance with my studio @nsdanceacademy is always amazing. There was a very important person missing from the audience and it was hard knowing my dad wasn’t there. I grateful for friends who kept me positive and the dance moms who always support me. I’m thankful for my teachers who have been with me through this incredible difficult time and helped me so so much.

Might as well look back on a few memories from last year...

From the @nfocusmagazine Italian Renaissance Portrait Studio, stolen moments celebrating some of our favorite dancers, quick goofy pics with friends that “see me” (love your forever @crystal_lydia) and icons like @mickeyguyton.

Can’t wait to experience this upcoming event with faces old and new…..
