I said I would never date you but I am grateful for the ability to change my mind. You are significant.🥹 I cried when I couldn’t run anymore. I don’t even like running and you had me sad/pouting in public cause I couldn’t show up for you as planned.🙄 I became a sucka for you!

Old injuries were triggered, my family, friends and strangers supported me every step of the way. You weren’t even on my things to do list but I got prepared for you. I went to gym classes that I hated, I called everything about you stupid multiple times yet, I am so proud I experienced you.

Oh and the bragging rights… I wore my medal for a week!🏅

Dear Everyone Else,

If I can do it so can you. It’s literally one foot in front of the other. Finish at YOUR pace. Know I’m not only speaking on running. Time doesn’t matters, honestly the race ain’t even a big deal it’s the training. Once you get into your marathon journey and get through 3 miles, 5, 7, 10 miles it’s like oh that’s only a few more miles, lol. It’s simple math, you add on to what you already can do. Every single person’s journey is different. It’s so personal and you’ll surprise yourself.🤞🏾

The race is not to the swift but those that endure.✨

And no I am not doing it again, I am not a junkie. Sweating and all that is not for me. Now @exoticmisschisom did twist my hair into perfection, yet @hairwrks has returned from maternity leave and y’all know I love playing in my pretty gray hair.💅🏾

P.S.
I ran on a charity bib so THANK YOU IMMENSELY to everyone who donated. We raised money for the Wildfires in less than 24 hours. I know really dope people and for that I am always grateful.😇

As my time in Japan comes to a close, I want to thank everyone who helped me celebrate my 35th birthday and everyone I’ve had the pleasure of meeting during this journey. Japan 🇯🇵 is truly a beautiful place and will always hold a special place in my heart. Who knows—maybe one day I’ll move here or even open a store when the time feels right.
