Beautiful log session really feeling keen for this event on the day @nswstrongest
Was T E C H N I C A L L Y not supposed to go above 100 today but 100 moved so clean that I had to hit 110, which was also driven by the fact my belt actually fits in a useful way this week which is a little crazy to me, as only last week it didn’t fit really at all. Confidence booster and mental win for sure that contributed to an overall really good day, excited to get in it this weekend 😎
Also really nice chats with @sezeldridge and @thechildish_cambino getting to catchup which is always a great time

Not every attempt ends with a win. But every attempt teaches you something. 💪

Monster dumbbell is VERY new territory for me, and with it coming up @nswstrongest strongman comp, I've got some work to do!

I've been struggling to get a standard 30kg dumbbell overhead. Attempt after attempt, getting frustrated, questioning myself, but still showing up and giving it another crack.

Then yesterday, completely to my own surprise, THAT 30KG WENT UP! 🔥

Was I expecting it? Absolutely bloody not. 😂

And then there's the Monster dumbbell... that big, awkward monster that's still refusing to cooperate.

But here's the thing. It's getting closer.

And that's what this whole journey is about.

The misses. The frustration. The consistency. The tiny improvements that don't always look like progress until suddenly they do.

Failure isn't the opposite of progress. Sometimes it's exactly what progress looks like.

I'm not there yet. But I'm closer than I was yesterday.

And when that monster dumbbell finally goes up?

Bloody hell, what a day that's going to be. 🖤

Super good day training truck pulls this time with a rope courtesy of @t_rexx_____ who was also extremely generous with her wisdom today, learned many good components to a truck pull and I’m feeling very excited going into this event Sunday. It’s only a few sessions and sleeps away and I can’t wait to be back out there tearing it up at @nswstrongest novice, and to set the tone for what I will do when I’m back afterwards 😎❤️🙏

First time training for a truck pull and getting the feel for how my feet+upper back should move as I go, pretty excited for this event honestly as it’s always been one of my favorite ones to watch. Don’t know or really care what the sled weighs so weight is just what’s physically on it, the harness itself feels quite comfortable and the actual day will have a rope to pull myself along which I’m also excited for.

Otherwise pretty normal leg day stuff, a little bit of quad+hammie volume and 25 minutes of biking keeping my 3 minute mile pace the whole way through
@nswstrongest I’ll have more than enough gas in the tank 😎
