Loads of fun filming the PDRN Launch Video for @theordinary. A jam packed two days filming with Tracey, who meticulously pre-visualized the edit in prep. Lots of diopters, dolly moves/zooms, snori-cam, funky shutter/frame rates, dope set dressing— it was a blast.

Some BTS above, wish I took more but alas I was so focussed. Thank you to my team for being so instrumental in problem solving every day. Robin, Ollie and Alex, I learned so much on this one with y’all. I adore your brains.

Also deep admiration to Christina and her art team for designing and building an elevator set that could move around the studio each day (!!)

When news from Iran arrives that a family friend has died and passed his entire inheritance solely to Mahyar, the mystery of the gift’s provenance begins to unravel the family’s story, the image of their parents, and the relationship between the two brothers.

super excited to share this project with everyone, i’d like to thank @ryanofei and his team for trusting @gabbie.gib and I with such meaningful song

I found there to be a lack of affectionate relationships shown between father and son on screen, and especially with men of colour

i wanted to commerate the song by exploring a father-son relationship over the passage of time

i chose the backdrop of this beautiful garden home as a metaphor to the love and care shown to the earth contrasted by the love and care we show to our parents in old age 🥹

I want this video to feel like a warm hug to your younger self. It’s about forgiveness to your parents
and reciprocating the love they gave to you as a child.

Father’s always have a unique way of saying I love you
