ONE YEAR IN SOUND. SIX EVENTS DEEP.

One year ago, we started building Monde Soniq around a shared love for sound, underground culture and the people who bring it to life.

Six events later, we’re celebrating everything that’s brought us here — the artists, the dancers, the collaborators and everyone who has been part of the journey.

For our first anniversary, we’re bringing six B2B pairings together for six hours of music at The Abercrombie.

Different sounds. Different perspectives. One shared frequency.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of the journey so far. This one is for you.

MONDE SONIQ : ONE YEAR IN SOUND

📍 The Abercrombie, Sydney
📅 Friday 20 November 2026

Six events. One year. And we’re only getting started.

Introducing the cast of Friday night ~~~>

Super proud to have these people on ! They’re all doing really great things in the scene so swipe through and have a read of their bios !

Big love and see you all soon !! 🍅🥚

Kimi is a Sydney/Eora-born creative with a love for the eclectic, global and funky. Her vibrant, bouncy sets weave together familiar references, retro grooves and playful sounds, that feel adventurous and feel-good.

Having played alongside the @phothegirls collective at Sydney venues including Club 77 and Chinese Laundry, Kimi moves effortlessly between disco-funk, house, bass and breaks. One thing’s for sure – Kimi will make you shimmy!

UK-born and now based in Sydney/Eora, nulty draws from both scenes. Her sound centres on UK funky, UK garage, dub and everything in between, with a clear UK influence running through everything she plays. Her sets lean into deep basslines and rhythmic drive, centred on underground tracks.

Nulty is also the founder of @backroom.syd - a space for lovers of deep, bassy underground grooves, dedicated to showcasing the DJs and artists shaping Sydney/Eora’s underground scene.

She has played at Chinese Laundry, The Abercrombie, Oxford Art Factory, Hardwire, and more, continuing to carve out her place within Sydney/Eora’s underground scene.

Sydney based DJ, music lover and host of @homegrownfm , CRX gigs are as eclectic as her music taste. Delving into all corners of global club music, bass, hip hop, RnB, house and techno, CRX understands how to move the crowd for the occasion. Her sets never fail to deliver booty shaking, bass face pulling moments playing tracks the crowd didn’t know they needed to hear.

As a host of @homegrownfm, CRX is dedicated to showcasing the best of Sydneys and Australia’s talented producers and delving into interviews with key figures in local music and arts scenes.

Povobougie is a Sydney & LA based Hip Hop/ R&B DJ and producer that incorporates Bailey funk, jersey club and Asian Pop into her sound. She has toured internationally across USA and the phillipines playing at renowned venues including Kampai and Bando (Manila) and Blind Barber and Intercrew (LA).

Junipero is throwing the sapphic sleepover of your dreams on 𝐒𝐚𝐭 𝟏𝟐 𝐒𝐞𝐩𝐭 and absolutely no one is getting an early night. We’re taking it back to late-night sleepovers, forbidden crushes, messy makeouts that were ‘only a dare,’ and staying up until 3am because someone said “wait… are you gay?”

✨☁️ 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐋𝐘 𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐃 𝐎𝐍 𝐒𝐀𝐋𝐄 𝐍𝐎𝐖 ☁️✨

Prepare for a traditional (kind-of) pillow fight from 𝑻𝑯𝑬 𝑷𝑰𝑳𝑳𝑶𝑾 𝑷𝑹𝑰𝑵𝑪𝑬𝑺𝑺𝑬𝑺 (Columbia, Fran Flutter, Sapphron & Galatea)🪽followed by a midnight snack with 𝑩𝑰𝑳𝑳𝑰𝑬 𝑩𝑼𝑹𝑵𝑶𝑼𝑻 🍑 and an unexpected alien invasion courtesy of 𝑬𝑫𝑨𝑵 𝑴𝑪𝑮𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑹𝑵👽

On the decks the scene’s favourite duo 𝑫𝑰𝑽𝑨 𝑪𝑼𝑷𝑺, Juni’s resident ground-shaker 𝑮𝑲, plus a late-night B2B ft 𝑻𝑬𝑨𝑳 & 𝑵𝑼𝑳𝑻𝒀.🌟

Come dressed for that teenage sleepover with your ‘best friend.’ Think lingerie, cutesie PJs, boxers, dressing gowns, sleep masks and whatever else you sleep in. (**PSA from seccys, no slippers allowed xo) 🥒🧖‍♀️

Art: @voyngraphix

Junipero acknowledges that this event takes place on the land of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation. We pay our respects to the Elders past, present & emerging. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
