Our Partner and Head of Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), Rotimi Akapo, facilitated two sessions at the Telecommunications Legal and Regulatory Risk Programme organised by Commercial Law Development Services (CLDS) for MTN’s Legal and Compliance team on the 20th and 21st October 2026.

The sessions covered key legal, regulatory and commercial risks in the telecommunications sector, with discussions spanning regulatory compliance, contractual risk allocation, data protection, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, third-party relationships and business continuity.

Through practical insights and discussions, the session explored how legal and compliance teams can identify, assess and manage risks in an evolving telecommunications landscape.
