I was 16 yo when I jumped off the cliffs of Hovs Hallar into the sea. Never would I have thought my craft would bring me back home after all these years.
.
'monument', currently on display at @ravinenkultur , in the exhibition BIÆRGHE with @nutidasvensktsilver .

I have dreamed of creating a piece worthy of exhibit at RAVINEN for years and once I was finally invited, I wanted to give everything and more.
.
Hovs Hallar is a place I have visited throughout my upbringing: in good times and bad, to find joy or solace. No matter how I change, it is always there as a constant. I created this monument to show the inseparable bond I have, to what I will always see as my home.
.
My dreams were surpassed by the experience of working with
@molltorpsgjuteri
@smedjan.dingelvik with @simon_westling
and curating the exhibition BIÆRGHE with
@a_n_acc and the team from Ravinen.

I have dreamed of making this form in a scale of 1:1, that have influenced my aesthetic for years and years.

When invited to exhibit on the peninsula where I grew up, together with @nutidasvensktsilver , I decided to manifest this vision.

Vilken härlig vernissage det blev! Igår öppnade portarna till Nutida Svenskt Silvers stora utställning ”BIÆRGE” på Ravinen Kulturhus i Båstad. 250 verk av 40 smeder. Temat är Bjärehalvön, havet och Norrvikens Trädgård.

Jag tog tåget ner i fredags och nu rullar jag sent hemåt, vilken fin helg det blev!
Gläds så för @nutidasvensktsilver utställning i det fina @ravinenkultur . Gå och se!

@ravinenkultur bjuder förutom på konstutställningar på den godaste maten och genomtrevlig personal. Tack!

Tack @ravinenkultur för allt! En underbar middag o förhandsvisning i fredagskväll och en fantasisk vernissage i går med ett så fint samtal på scen mellan verksamhetschef o intendent Charlotta Jönsson och Paula Röhss, Filip Palmén och Anna Nordström från @nutidasvensktsilver i en fullsatt hörsal. Det känns så hedrande att vi får sträcka ut oss i vår fulla längd och visa upp samtida konsthantverk i dessa stora, vackra rum!
Utställningen pågår hela hösten tom. 10 januari och är värd en omväg! Kom!

Metal Art Senior Lecturer Tobias Birgersson is showing his new work The Spudness of Things in BIÆRGHE at RAVINEN Kulturhus, Båstad.

The work was made in response to Bjäre — a place Tobias also knows from his younger years working as a potato farmhand.

Biærghe-Nutida möter Norrviken.

Bjärehalvön är en plats där natur, kultur och skapande länge har sam�spelat. Namnet Bjäre har sitt ursprung i fornsvenskans ord för berg, biærgh. Med sina dramatiska sluttningar, sitt gynnsamma klimat och sin rika historia har området inspirerat generationer av konstnärer, hant�verkare och visionärer – från Rudolf Abelins skapande av Norrvikens trädgårdar till Ulla och Gustav Kraitz vision om en konsthall, som idag är RAVINEN Kulturhus.
I denna utställning möter Bjäres unika berättelse samtida tolkningar av silver- och guldsmide. Genom 250 verk skapade av 40 medlemmar i Nutida Svenskt Silver får landskapets historia, natur och kulturella arv nya uttryck. Här förenas tradition och nyskapande i en mångfald av
material, tekniker och konstnärliga perspektiv. RAVINEN Kulturhus och Nutida Svenskt Silver för gemensamt vidare en tradition av konstnärlig nyfikenhet och förnyelse

Tomorrow marks the opening of Biaerghe – Nutida Svenskt Silver meets Norrviken, at RAVINEN Kulturhus.

Bringing together more than 250 works by 40 members of the arts and crafts association Nutida Svenskt Silver, the exhibition explores the relationship between contemporary craft and the landscape, history and cultural heritage of the Bjäre Peninsula.

Jewellery, vessels, sculpture and conceptual works draw inspiration from Norrviken’s gardens, the sea and surrounding landscape, while also reflecting on our relationship with nature and the environment.

The exhibition is on view from 19 September 2026 to 10 January 2027.
