Earlier this month, we had the honor of partnering with Old Stone House to host a winter market. The weather was absolutely perfect, and the sancocho was truly chef’s kiss.

Already excited to do this again 🤍 Thank you for everyone who was able to join us

omg…thank you so much for having me @brooklynbrujeria y @chiquitabrujita

You have created something truly beautiful, the inclusivity of which was so moving, especially as a Haitian. We’re usually left out of the conversation when Latinidad and/or Tainos come up…oh but not this weekend baby!

I was getting in conversations with people that were thanking my ancestors for the Haitian Revolution who call me “hermana” in reference of our shared Taino ancestry and speaking of the eradication and healing that needs to be done in the separatist ideologies that still exist in parts of the Caribbean

To be surrounded by people just as weird as me who are also guided by spirit, their ancestors, their love of nature, who are also doing the work of decolonizing their understanding of history and to not be the weirdest person in the room was such a treat! I am truly honored, my heart is truly full, my inventory is emptied and my cup runneth over lol

Wishing everyone who participated and made it possible nothing but continued divine alignment!

with great love & gratitude

So recently, I’ve had the great honor of vending in 2 spaces curated with intention and rooted in ancestral remembrance and ancestral intelligence.

The first was July’s Rekòlte, where I usually support as a host but got to vend my jewelry. Rekòlte is a night of Haitian Roots & House Music featuring artists, musicians, dancers and djs of the Dyaspora, intentionally created and curated by @sabineblaizin of @oyasound!

The second was this past weekend, where I was invited by @zerozerosete_007 to vend my jewelry and fresh cold-pressed juice during a hoda and graduation for @newyorkcapoeira and @idpnyc!

The alignment of being able to share my ancestral intelligence and remembrance while being in spaces of ancestral intelligence and remembrance, is not lost on me.

Truly grateful—sending many thanks for these opportunities, trusting that these are only the first of more to come!✨
