@SceneStyled #LIVE: ANŪT has opened a new ‘Fashion & Jewellery Room’ in Zamalek, Cairo, gathering Egyptian labels Nuu Studio, Talata Mazbut, Rebel Cairo, Iman Sabbour Jewellery and Ghazala Designs under one roof. The room was unveiled alongside ANŪT’s AW26 collection, Kemet: From the Land to the Loom, which looks to Coptic Egypt and the Byzantine era for its visual language. There was quite a lot happening per square metre. Kemet put Coptic and Byzantine references onto homeware and clothes; the guests turned up in enough competing prints and textures to constitute a second collection; and Fleetwood Mac played over the whole thing, inserting seventies California into an evening otherwise preoccupied with Egypt several centuries earlier. The Fashion & Jewellery Room also marks an expansion of what ANŪT’s Zamalek address contains. Alongside the house’s homeware, there is now a dedicated room for Egypt’s fashion scene, bringing together five labels with distinctly different interpretations of contemporary design.
