Widmung, by Robert Schumann

What a blessing to be able to perform at Mars Hill's Homecoming Concert! And what better song to do than one called Dedication?

"You raise me lovingly above myself, my guardian angel, my better self!"

As always- a sincere and overwhelmed thank you for all the birthday love yesterday- never necessary, always appreciated.

Deep and powerful positive energy and wishes for all my loves near and very far. I know and can understand the pain and introspection we’ve all most likely dealt with in varying levels this year- unfortunately even nearing 50- I fear I have more to learn than I can even imagine but humbly- 3 things I have pondered and learned that could be lessons or just thoughts to carry into 2026
1. Cultivate and trust in your instincts and friendships
2. Gratitude (many days this year I didn’t have money or food or any idea how I might get either…. I’m so grateful that I have this perspective and that I was over 40 when I felt it and not a child)
3. Believe in yourself.

Often my depression and brain will tell me I shouldn’t be here, no one needs or wants me, these three things-my gorgeous friends, my annoying positivity and the belief that I’m here for a reason each day sometimes carry me when other, more simple things won’t.

This world and particularly the US is unwieldy and scary but there is still so much good-so much beauty and still so much LOVE- ❤️

Be well and do well, my darlings. And a million thanks for birthday and new years wishes 🥳
