🔥 JUST LAUNCHED: The Caring Majority Election Defense Guidebook! – a bilingual resource to help you prepare for the midterm elections so we can defend Medicaid and home care, and win a more caring New York! (Swipe for Spanish!)

Read for info on: ✅ Get Out the Vote (GOTV) resources ✅ Know Your Rights info if ICE is present at polling sites ✅ Voting access info for older adults and people with disabilities

Read the guidebook ASAP to make sure you’re prepared for the midterms and share it far and wide!
➡️ nycaringmajority.org/defend-democracy

Shoutout to @LookLoud for designing many of the graphics featured in the guidebook. Give them a follow!

Let’s defend our democracy and win big for care at the polls this November.

#ElectionDefense #GOTV #VotingAccess #Medicaid #HomeCare Protecting Medicaid and home care ultimately depends on a functioning democracy where votes count and constituents can safely cast them.

New Yorkers with a relationship to home care are the exact populations most at risk of being pushed out of the electorate: immigrant workers wary of ICE activity at polling sites, and older and disabled New Yorkers who already face access barriers to voting.

Graphic: Overdue. They’d rather rig the rules than fund health care.

Accessibility is everything! READ & SHARE this guide to defend our democracy & ensure the will of the people is heard at the ballot box during the 2026 midterm elections!

Yesterday, we showed up at Councilmember Feliz’s Bronx office with one ask: hold a hearing on the CURB Act.

Instead, we were met with police barricades, a shut-down block, and counterprotesters who put hands on people in our group while NYPD officers watched.

This is how the SRG handles peaceful protest. It’s time for accountability.

27 Council Members already back Int. 796. Councilmember Feliz, schedule the hearing.

Disband the SRG. Pass the CURB Act. ✊

No matter what, working people are going to lose in the AI race. If AI is overhyped and corporations like Anthropic are overvalued, insiders who purchased stakes at pre-IPO prices will cash out, while pension funds and everyday investors who buy in at inflated valuations will be left holding the bag. #UnplugAI #noaibailouts #BlocktheIPO #BlocktheIPOs

#BlockTheIPO. STOP the Anthropic IPO
Members of New York Communities for Change, Climate Defenders and supporters demonstrate in the rain outside Anthropic’s SoHo office denouncing the IPO plan and the dangers of AI (also noted by Anthropic’s CEO.) These organizations continue to focus on the economic harm that Wall St and AI billionaires can cause to working people, citing job displacement and loss of pensions.

This memo changes everything.

Senior insurance professionals in the EU and UK, speaking anonymously to protect their livelihoods, are today sounding the alarm that their industry is setting us up for a global financial crisis.

Insurers in America are following this same playbook—but we can still avert the worst-case scenario if we pass Insure Our Communities legislation nationwide. Link in bio to see how you can join the fight.
