It’s so easy to breeze by a year of time and not stop to remember/appreciate what all happened.

Anyways, here are somethings that I did in my 33 year:

1. Released my photo book ‘Scene Seen’ with @christopherjchester
2. Released my first new song in 3 years “You, Me, the Reign” (go listen to it/buy it rn!)
3. Photographed album covers for @auntkatrinadc @aka.eyas @__glorian @infinityknives @brianennals @naturalvelvet
4. Won Baltimore Mag’s Best of Baltimore for ‘Scene Seen’
5. Had a local book tour / spoke at the Enoch Pratt Library
6. Was interviewed on WYPR
7. Exhibited my work at Metro Gallery, good neighbor, Enoch Pratt Library
8. Taught lots of classes
9. Published in INC., Washington Post, Baltimore Mag, Bandcamp
10. Officiated @lauren_castellana & @kevin_from_home_alone wedding
11. Saw @aka.eyas perform 10+ times lol
12. Went to Toronto with Fam
13. Worked on a short film w/ @naesworld.wav and friends
14. Shot & directed my first music video
15. Built a new fence
16. 10 years vegetarian as of today!
17. Finished lots of songs, some might even say an album… check back in 3 weeks

Big news… I won @baltmag Best of Baltimore Readers’ Poll in the following categories:
✅ Best Local Band
✅ Best Musician

This is the first time I’ve ever won something like this, let alone winning in 2 categories. The part of me that’s worked my ass off feels very much accomplished and seen. The imposter syndrome-laden part of me thinks this is insanely silly and that there’s no way I could have won either considering there are so many people/bands in both categories who are wildly better than me at everything. But here we are.

Thank you to everyone who voted. And thank you to everyone who has lifted me up, believed in me, supported me, shared my music, booked me, shared the stage with me, shown me love, and honestly thanks to all the people who have been the absolute worst. Here’s something else for you to be mad at.

I’ve been making music for over 30 years, and Baltimore is the only place that has ever felt home when it comes to providing a safe and nurturing environment to create and express myself. I love this city and so many of the people in it. 💜
