Art Mail: The Exhibition I’m deeply honored to be part of this exhibition. It was such a beautiful exhibition. Such a strong community of artists. Thank you @winsorandnewton and @nycdrawingroom for this amazing event! Also, thank you to everyone who has been part of my life and who came to the event. Love you guys!! Side note: I took the photograph on my way to the exhibition (Williamsburg,Brooklyn). Which is one of the reasons I decided to include it in the video. “An Istanbul Afternoon” adlı resmimin bugün itibarıyla New York’taki Drawing Room’da sergilenmeye başladığının sürpriz haberini aldım.

It was opening night of the Art Mail exhibition, a show put on by @nycdrawingroom and @winsorandnewton. It was fun to see the collaborative piece created out of postcards made at an event this summer. A postcard I made can be found in it. I also loved seeing all the pieces created over several months by people from around the world. So much creativity and talent! And there was a big platter of cookies (and other snacks not pictured) to celebrate.

My day started in the office, which meant a stop @bluebottle for a cold brew with cold foam and pumpkin chocolate chip bread. And it ended with completing Day 11 of #21everydays2026. The prompt for today was Cozy, and I cut up a photo from the Drawing Room, a very cozy space, to fill the section.

I’m thrilled to be taking part in this beautiful campaign! Let me tell you the story behind it...

Back in May, while visiting an art fair in Izmir, Türkiye I came across an Art Mail campaign. With a tiny spark of hope, thinking “Maybe they’ll choose mine too...” So, I bought my @winsorandnewton Cotman watercolor paints and gave it a shot. ➡️

( P.S. This is not an ad or a collaboration)

On September 18th, I mailed my watercolor postcard from İzmir, Türkiye , first off to London. 💌

I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little worried whether it would make it there safely. 😬🙈 ➡️

I overthought what to create for so long... then it hit me: Why not do what represents me best?
Filled with an endless passion to explore new places and a deep love for travel aka Wanderlust 🌍 ➡️

Every time I come back from a new city, a piece of its soul comes home in my suitcase.

London; a city that was never mine, yet feels like home. Paris; feeding my creative spirit and soul. Rome; where my archaeologist heart belongs. Cappadocia ; one of the most mesmerizing places in my homeland, Türkiye 🇹🇷 and Bali... the spirit of Asia is simply unmatched. ➡️

On Oct 6th, I got the email saying it made it there safely, and I was honestly thrilled just to be a part of this project…➡️

And yesterday: I just opened an email confirming that my postcard was selected out of over 8,000 entries to be physically exhibited in New York! 🥹🗽 ➡️ @nycdrawingroom

Note to self: Never lose that belief that made you pick up the brush in the first place.

If you’re in New York and can spare a few minutes to visit the exhibition, I’d love your help! ❤️ Please take a quick photo or video of my postcard on display and send it my way. It would mean the world to me to see my little artwork there through your eyes! 🥹✨

Thanks everyone 🥰

How a postcard I mailed for free ended up on exhibition at Saatchi Gallery in London and Drawing Rooms in Brooklyn, NYC. ✨📮

As an artist, getting your artwork exhibited in a physical gallery can feel like an impossible hurdle, especially when you’re starting out or don’t have gallery representation yet.

So earlier this year, I took a leap on a free open-call submission: Winsor & Newton’s Art Mail. Out of over 8,000 global submissions, my tiny watercolor postcard was selected to be wall-hung alongside incredible creators from across the world.

Seeing my work on the walls of Saatchi Gallery in London and now heading to Drawing Room in Brooklyn proved to me that anything is possible when you just put yourself out there to try new things!

If you’re an artist waiting for “the right time” or feeling like gallery spaces aren’t meant for you yet, this is your sign to start applying for free open competitions and open calls. Your work deserves to be seen!

Hanging, measuring, nudging an inch to the left 🖼️

Every postcard is placed by hand, one at a time. Painted in over 80 countries, they’re now side by side on the wall, from a street corner in one city to a stretch of coastline in another.

More than 8,000 watercolour postcards have been painted for Art Mail, and this is where a few of them land in New York.

The doors open on 22nd October. Come and see them in person.
