This morning I lost my best friend.

I don’t even know how to put into words what he meant to me. Parker had such a compassionate soul and was the kind of person who didn’t just walk into a room, but changed it. He was a light in everyone’s life. He made people feel safe, understood, and cared for without even trying. Everyone loved him, and if you knew him, you would know exactly why.

Parker was someone who I always looked up to not only because of his height but because of his spark for everything that he did in life. He made me and everyone else want to be better people in life. He showed up for so many people. He loved deeply, and I was lucky enough to call him my best friend.

Right now my heart feels shattered. The world feels heavier and quieter without him in it. I would give anything for one more laugh, one more hug, and one more I’ll see you later eggy.

Parker, I hope you know how loved you are. I’ll carry you with me in everything I do. You’ll always be my brother. I will love you forever and always. I’m not saying goodbye. I’m saying see you later. I’ll carry you with me until the day I get to see you again.
