Un día como hoy nació la Laboratoria Boricua de Vogue 💖 El 15 de julio de 2020 en plena pandemia, con los toques de queda, el uso de mascarillas y el distanciamiento social surgió una necesidad de nuestro fundador. La necesidad de mover la cuerpa, de compartir nuevamente entre panas y las ganas de bailar hasta que cayera el sol. So se consiguió una bocina, se pidió pon pa' llegarle y fuimos a las 5 PM al Muelle del Orgullo en Cataño pa' comenzar a voguear en esta gran montaña rusa de la que no nos hemos baja'o desde hace 6 años. Hay tanto pasando ahora mismo en nuestra comunidad y en nuestras vidas, que se nos olvidó que hoy era nuestro cumpleaños. Como quiera lo pasamos de lo lindo en la clase de Vogue Femme facilitada por la hermosa @nylaofthenile y haciendo lo que más nos gusta hacer, que es bailar. We’ve been accepted to our very first film festival of the year!! Hosted at one of the oldest art clubs in the US @theplasticclub 247 S Camac St More Than a Film Fest May 17, 2026 at 3:15 PM Followed by a Q&A Bumpa is a short documentary exploration of two beloved and controversial dances: twerking and whining. 5 professional dancers—Drelle, Vera, Queen Zinga, and Mara—demonstrate the innate power of these affirming movements in spiritual, therapeutic, and challenging ways. Thank you to everyone who popped out for our sold out work-in-progress screenings. Our editor Aidan Un worked with me for our final days of editing this year and I have been working on the color correction after work!
