Last night 🪽🎨✨
This year so far has been the wildest in terms of my art career. I’ve tried for a long time to put myself out there, but something happened last year that put me in a position to receive these opportunities: a community of people that believed in what I did. The genuine connections I made with so many people at this new stage in my life paved way for these doors to open to me; being invited to group art shows, starting out my small business, and getting to the point of selling my pieces (I sold my first one last night 🥹)
I’ve been scared for a while to post these things, bc of silly thoughts like “oh my god my posing is bad and I look like a mess” and “I didn’t take enough good pictures of the event while it was happening” but I realized that the way I look in certain pictures and the lack of photos from the actual event don’t take away from all the artwork I’ve done and all the friendships and connections I’ve made. I was so in the moment of these happy times that my first impulse wasn’t to take perfect photos for the most aesthetic photo dump, but to just have fun. I have plenty of time to work on my posing/presentation and mindfulness of capturing the moment, but I don’t regret all the times I wasn’t thinking about that first.
Im so lucky to be able to live this life of sharing my work and making people happy through my little drawings. ✨♥️🥹
Thank you to everyone, friends, family, my regulars at work, fellow artists, coworkers, acquaintances and everyone in between for being there for me and supporting my dreams and allowing me to express myself in how I know best 🌸🪽🧚‍♀️
