MY NYSC UNFINISHED PROJECT IS NOW COMPLETED BY AKWA-IBOM STATE GOVERNMENT THROUGH THE STATE UNIVERSAL BASIC EDUCATION BOARD - SUBEB

During my service year in 2022 in Akwa-Ibom State, I saw the need for more classrooms in my place of primary assignment, State College, Ikot Ekpene, as the available ones were not enough to accommodate the population of students in the school, thereby causing overcrowding.

With the little support I could gather as a corps member, I started the building of 4 classroom block with 2staff office and a toilet, and was able to raise it to about 4-5 coaches above foundation level before I passed out.

For almost 4 years after my service, even though I was no longer in the state, I kept doing advocacy remotely for its completion, while the school management on ground were also reaching out to the state government.

It's been a month now after completion and I am fulfilled to see that the Akwa-Ibom State Government, through SUBEB, intervened to complete it. It has now been put to use.

I sincerely appreciate the Akwa-Ibom State Government, SUBEB, and the management of State College, Ikot Ekpene for believing in this vision.

Thank you Akwa-Ibom.
