Happy National Women and Girls is Sports Day! Today we celebrate all women in sports! But I’m taking a special moment to celebrate the black women in sports that have inspired me!

If not for you I would have never made the decision to put this pen to this paper or picked up a microphone and start talking in the first place!

The year is just getting underway and to say I started it like this is crazy!

To my FCS FAMILY: Thank you! Because of you I got grow a little more and reach a little higher. The opportunity to speak with the @hawkeyefootball and @vol_football was humbling. However the highlight of my week was tagging around with @ajfrancis410! He’s a trip and I loved every minute of it!

To my @dreamfndn family: I am forever grateful for all of you!!! I don’t know what I would do without your guidance and support to step out on my Dreams!!!

Just know that this Sports Journalist is just getting started and you’re gonna see a lot more of me!!!

God will never cease to amaze me with all He does! I can’t say think you enough to @dreamfndn x @vegasgoldenknights for the time of my life! To be valued in the this space was something I never thought I’d be able to do! I never thought I’d be back in school let alone doing the things I’ve dream about for over a decade! If you only knew my testimony you’d run a lap right there, but I’ll preach that on a different day! God is definitely out here Godding!!!

To my VGK DREAM TEAM, thank you! I have learned so much from each and every one of you, and I pray nothing but blessings on our future careers! I’ll see you all at the top!

I am just grateful for open doors and the courage to walk though them! Whatever God has for me next I will welcome with open arms! I am humbled to have had the chance to represent @southernu_br as one of 46 students chosen for the program!

Sports Journalist in the making!
