Minnesota Brass took the 2011 title and hold five seconds. Cadets 2 won in 2016. Westshoremen won in 1996. Atlanta CV have five podiums without a title, the most of any corps in the tier never to win it.

A Class was DCA’s smallest tier, introduced in 1997, and it continues under DCI. Twenty six corps have placed top three.

Govenaires own it with six titles and eighteen podiums, placing top three in nearly two of every three championships ever held. Carolina Gold are next with three titles. Heat Wave have two titles and four seconds.

The rest of A Class. Nine of the twenty six corps here reached the podium exactly once.

Alliance won in 2008. Chops Inc won in 2005. Chieftains won the first A Class title in 1997. Erie Thunderbirds, SoCal Dream and Sun Devils each have two podiums and no title.

Note that A Class finals fielded only four corps in most years, and only two from 2001 through 2004.

Over the past two years, I’ve accomplished extraordinary feats that I only thought happened in dreams. I never thought I’d ever perform at the Lucas Oil Stadium (I’m doing it again this summer) or at the University of Dayton Arena in my life… But I did it. And with amazing people.

I just want to thank these amazing programs for helping me grow and make my dreams a reality. It truly has been an honor to be a part of these programs. Thank you for believing in and trusting me when I didn’t.

Imperial Dynasty ‘25: This wasn’t just any program. Rob W. said, multiple times, “this isn’t just a musical program. It’s a program that makes better people.” From my experience, it’s a program that didn’t only make better people, it shaped those people into a family. I’m so grateful to have been part of this program and to have marched with and taught by these amazing and relentless and beautiful and brilliant people. You guys have impacted me and shown me kindness and love in ways I’d never thought I’d experience. Thank you 🆔🤖

Although I’m sad to see this winter season go, I’m very excited to announce that I’ll be marching with another great program in the summer: the 7th Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps! Time to grind 💪🏾

Presenting day 6 of our 2024 DCI Season in Review series! Today we’re putting our main focus on Open Class, specifically those corps that operated with shorter tours this summer. Congratulations to Guardians, Impulse, Golden Empire, Vessel, and Blue Devils C for their hard work and entertaining 2024 productions! From All Age Class, we also have Columbus Saints and New York Skyliners who competed in A Class at the first ever DCI All Age Championship. Bravo to all for your 2024 seasons!

Even though the 2024 season just ended, let's take a look back through the caption awards given out throughout Indiana over the past week! In All-Age, all three of this year's class champions not only left with gold medals, but also a majority of the caption awards; with the Reading Buccaneers taking all five caption awards in World Class, Cincinnati Tradition taking High Visual, High Color Guard, and High Percussion, with the White Sabers taking High Total Effect, High Brass in Open Class, and the Govenaires taking all five caption awards in A Class. In addition to those awards, Hawthorne Caballeros was awarded Best Honor Guard, and the Connecticut Hurricanes was awarded the showmanship Award. At the SoundSport International Music & Food Festival, 21 teams were awarded either a Silver or Gold Rating! This season was incredibly exciting for both classes, and we CAN'T wait to see what they all bring to the field next year
