I have waited nearly 40 years to see Transvision Vamp live. Tonight I finally got that chance, and it was worth every minute of that wait.

The 18 song setlist included most of the singles, plus deep cuts from all three of their albums as well as three songs from Wendy’s solo discography, and she sounds just as good at 60 as she did at 22 when the band first emerged.

Transvision Vamp were the last of the four bands from my early childhood that I never had the chance to see before they split. Having managed to see The Primitives, The Darling Buds and Voice of the Beehive over the past 15 or so years, I have now completed the set and I could not be happier right now ❤️

Had a tonne of fun playing with @cesarecremonini at @o2sbe, following a week of rehearsals in Bologna 🇮🇹

A real honour to work with the great @donnymccaslinmusic 🎷, whose playing I’ve admired for so many years. Such a privilege to work alongside @zachdanziger 🥁, who blew our minds every day during rehearsals.

Tonight’s the night, and when I say I have been waiting and hoping for this for years… I mean YEARS.

I was OBSESSED with Transvision Vamp as a kid, and never got to see them live. All of my prayers have been answered though, and I am seeing for the very first time tonight, on their first UK tour since 1991 🤩

I can’t guarantee there will be photos tonight, as I will be going absolutely fucking FERAL in tribute to my 8 year old self, finally getting his wish at 46 🙌
