She is a natural performer @aarifahrebello

Got to capture @aarifahrebello of @longdistances.ig at @oaf.ltd's oafBigGigs 10 @the_hummingtree .

A performance that was filled with energy. A concert that transported every audience member to a different world. Away from all that's going on in our lives here. Brought us together. Jumping to one rhythm.

I have become an all time fan of @longdistances.ig
Thank you for this opportunity @iaremidget

We're still glowing from Saturday night, and none of it would have happened without some incredible people.

Thank you @the_hummingtree for having us. Playing your stage for the first time was a memory we'll carry for a long time.

@iaremidget thank you for putting together a show with such a stellar line-up and for backing us every step of the way. Sharing the night with @longdistances.ig and @officialpamband was a joy, and we're grateful to have been on that bill.🙌

@varoonmarooned thank you for making us sound the way we hoped we would. @alan.santosh thank you for lighting the stage so beautifully and giving every song its moment.

Tuta and Rahul, thank you for running our merch corner tirelessly all night. Your energy and hard work meant the world to us.
To everyone involved, on stage, behind the scenes and in the crowd, you made our Bangalore debut unforgettable. We can't wait to come back!

What we got here is a certified goodboi. Not only does he manage to do a protec in the form of putting some insane gigs, but he also do an attac in the form of rowrs.
.
We welcome an honorary Runt (honorarunt?) to our litter, and he will be providing the choicest of guttaral growls and shrieks for a song that is most pivotal in our pivoting to be considered a punk band.
.
Come see & hear this miracle at The Big Bad Bash at @theraftbangalore, tomorrow, Sept 18. Also playing are @beinghoirong & @jayrao_iv, with @inkedbybeanz slaying some skin art.
.
Head to the link in our bio for tix or just land up at the venue. There’s also promise of some great food.

The odd part of being interviewed is hearing your own song explained back to you. Anoushka Kundu found the thing I have spent weeks failing to say, and said it better. Thank you, and thank you to Indulge Express for giving this little song so much room.

Most of my adult life I have been firmly one version of myself. The academic. That part isn't going anywhere. I suspect my academic brain will follow me around until I am very old, still turning every mildly interesting observation into a research question.

But I have carried this all-or-nothing idea that you are either a scientist or an artist. One belongs in a university, the other on a stage. As if the two have to justify themselves to each other before they are allowed to share a person.

Still figuring that one out.

The Death of Peter Pan has been sitting with me since I was 19. Two decades, a career, several countries, a pandemic, several versions of myself, and it ends up here.

In a couple of hours it stops being mine.

Out everywhere tonight. There is a bit of it here too.

Mixed & Mastered by Mervin Thomas
