Last weekend marked our 3rd annual JEST-FEST: Michigan’s largest college improv festival! 🎭

And you guys showed us that the third time IS indeed the charm…

We’re walking away from this year’s festivities with fond memories we won’t soon forget, thanks in part to all the wonderful teams that joined us (don’t worry mamas, they’re tagged)! It’s always a huge pleasure to get to collaborate with some of the most creative folks from across the midwest!

Not to mention our very own mentee program — The ROIAL Squires — kicking off festivities and warming up the crowd. We couldn’t be prouder of the future of improv here at ROIAL!

And a VERY special shout-out to all of the members of @roialplayers who volunteered their time to help everything run smoothly. Jest-Fest couldn’t have happened without you! 💜💛

All in all, Jest-Fest is something incredibly special for us here at ROIAL. Thank you all, for joining in the laughs, the friendships, and yes, the improv comedy! 😼

It’s that time of year again… that’s right mamas, IT’S JEST FEST SEASON!! 🎭

In case you’re new to Michigan’s largest college improv festival, Jest Fest is a 2 day extravaganza that showcases the comedic talents of improv teams from all over the midwest! Groups arrive on campus Friday evening, we mingle and play games together, then come Saturday, we gear up for a day FULL of improv!

For our third annual Jest Fest, we’ll be having TWO SHOWS on Saturday, January 31st — that way, every team gets an opportunity to show off their hijinks! The first show of the day will start at 1 p.m., with our second rounding out the evening at 7 p.m.

For more details of what teams will be performing when, swipe on over to the second slide of this post! The left column is our 1 p.m. setlist, and the right is for 7 p.m.

Performances will be taking place at the MSU Auditorium’s Arena Theatre. If you thought last year was a blast, get ready for our best Jest Fest eva! Because after all, third time’s the charm! 😼

See you there! 🃏⭐️💜

Festivities this year were bigger than ever before, with TWO separate full-length shows packed full of talented improvisers.

A huge thank you to all of the wonderful teams (tagged in this post) who came out to collaborate and perform with us. We had so much fun talking to our improv peers from all over the midwest!

This was the debut performance of ROIAL Improv’s mentee program — The ROIAL Squires — and we couldn’t be prouder of their incredible talent!!

And a very special shout-out to all the members of @roialplayers who volunteered their time to help everything run smoothly — Jest Fest couldn’t have happened without you. 💛💜

As always, thank you to @macsbarmsu for providing good tunes, a great environment, and friendly staff who kept our Friday meet-up going all night!
