DTIYS: results edition ❤︎

with over 100 entries and counting (i can’t believe that number is real), the contest officially comes to an end!

all of you were absolutely incredible, and it was hard to narrow it down when each piece had their own strengths.

i thought, if this #dtiys was made to celebrate fashion, what better way to commemorate than with a magazine?

this editorial is dedicated to you, and to everyone who deserves their flowers.

awkwardly enough, i ran out of tags… but that’s what the description is for, right?

so give a round of applause to our medalists and fellow artists! no matter what, you’re all winners!

DTIYS winners! swipe for all

1ST PLACE: @cheleriza
The lighting, the environment, the bubbles, the detail of the hands and more... there are so many things that build into a truly breathtaking piece 🙏

2ND PLACE: @drawer0.4
I love the colors and rendering, and simply just how you drew him, I found my eyes constantly being drawn to your piece 🥺

3RD PLACE (3 winners, in no particular order):
@milkypopper I love the scene, it feels like we're on an adventure with him (which is actually kinda accurate to his wip lore) Ahh just smth about it, makes me happy ❤️
@sherumayu I just love the comp, I also love the vibe... the slow, and almost serene feeling I get, while he's sinking into the dark waters with the fish circling him... AHHhh, love it 🫠💕
@yee.ouch the lighting and shapes are so crisp, UGHH they're too good, the fish too T^T

PRIZES:
1st place - half body, simple bg
2nd place - bust, simple bg
3rd place - colored bust sketch (no bg)

Winners, pls dm your character/oc, and a brief/modest description of how you'd like them drawn ^^
I will try to get all the drawings done within 2 months 🙏

Ok...
TYSM EVERYONE FOR JOINING AND DRAWING KOI , IT WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE AGHDSIHGODEASIGHDSvh TYYY 😭🙏🙏
You may have noticed... I added a 3rd place, with 3 more winners!! it's really the best I can do but I still wish I could've chosen more winners 😔
I tried picking the winners mostly based on what gave me the biggest 'impression', but there were so many pieces I loved for all unique reasons, it really was hard picking the winners T_T

Anyways, I hope everyone had a fun time joining 🙏
Pls if you haven't, check my DTIYS highlights and find your own favorite pieces, and maybe even find a new artist to love!
