Behind every number is a name❗️A laugh😂 A spark⚡️ A story📖

🌍 Over 430 million people experience disabling hearing loss👂🏻👂🏼👂🏽👂🏾👂🏿

💙 About 1 in 127 are on the autism spectrum✨

💚 Around 1 in 345 U.S. children live with cerebral palsy✨

💛 Tourette syndrome touches roughly 0.3–1% of young people
At Brilliant Species, we see the brilliance in every mind and movement🚶🏽‍♂️👩🏻‍🦽🩼

Inclusion isn’t a goal — it’s a celebration of who we already are🤞🏽 Together, we can turn awareness into action❗️

Brilliance is all of us. Here we honor every form.

Leland was diagnosed on the spectrum at just 2 years old — and from that moment, I knew he was a Brilliant Species💫 Being there every step of the way has been nothing short of a blessing🙌🏽 He’s opened my eyes, my heart, and my world in ways I never could’ve imagined❗️

There was a time when he’d put so much pressure on his eyes that it would scare me — whether it was my elbow, my knees, or any warm, sharp spot he could find💁🏽‍♂️ It’s not that he’s stopped stimming; he’s just found new ways to. And every time he does, I’m reminded of how far he — and we — have come💙

Do you know what stimming is❓

Before you say it, yeah I know...
IT'S ABOUT TIME!

With a small following and having to temper expectations we understand this Kickstarter will be much smaller than we wanted. That's OK. We value everyone who has supported this Indie adventure, from reviewers, podcasters, convention patrons to hosts, THANK YOU!

🧠 ✨💙 Leland’s Forever Foods;

Good Morning, Since the day he was born, my son Leland has only eaten about six foods:
HappyBaby Pouches (blue only)
Crackers (Rits) now (Country Club)
Cheetos (Cheese Ofcourse😮‍💨)
Uncrustables (Not anymore)
Waffles (Burnt Almost)
Water (his one and only drink, which I’m very thankful)

Mostly all crunchy, except for those pouches💁🏽‍♂️ That’s just always been his comfort zone|
But this past weekend, it hit me again — what if one day his palette opened up, even just a little❓This has been on my heart for a while, and I know I’m not the only parent who’s thought the same!

So I want to bring the community in:
👉🏽 For those of you on the spectrum, or raising kids on the spectrum, how did you (or they) start trying new foods❓
👉🏽 Did texture play a big role❓
It’s not about forcing change — it’s about patience, hope, and meeting our kids where they are. Still, as a dad, I can’t help but hope that maybe Leland’s food world can get just a little bigger one day.
Let’s chat 💬 I’d love to hear your stories❓
