Having sat my last business exam, I think it’s high time I shared this story.

I had always been a proficient business student. CSEC? I was one of Knox’s sharpest business students. To the point where me feel me coulda teach all class. However, CAPE Accounts and some Econ topics served as a true test of said proficiency.

Throughout the course of this year, I’ve constantly wished that I figured out my interest in Humanities earlier, as I’d much prefer learning the reading and writing subjects.

You may think I’m capping, but I genuinely thought I was FAILING my business subjects, especially Accounting. FAILING, in the sense of not meeting my projected standards. When I saw my Christmas report, I was genuinely astounded! I had to refresh the page multiple times before I finally believed that the grades were accurate.

Even still, when I got my award ceremony invitation, this award never even crossed my mind. I was genuinely astonished when I heard my name.

Honored, humbled, grateful, proud, are just a few words to highlight how this award has made me feel.

Ironically, I never made the CAPE Merit List for M.O.B, my strongest business subject. I made it for Accounts and Econ, my two Goliaths! Hence, it is with great pride, joy, honor and gratitude that I wear my Merit List Badge.

It is truly gratifying and fulfilling to experience success whilst watching my friends succeed as well.
