One of us misses visiting Turkey, while the other keeps saying he has Greek family while accentuating the proper pronunciation of words.

When gyms were a thing, we would frequent Forest Hills for dinner. We’d park on the service road on Queens Blvd and walk towards Austin St. @obagrillgyro was one of places we enjoyed dining at. It was also one of the last places we dined indoors before the pandemic hit...
.
.
This is their mixed grill - 4 different kabobs - adana, gyro, chicken and a lambchop... $30.95. You can choose rice or fries and comes with salad and their house made pita bread.
.
.
Not sure if it’s been awhile or what not but it was really good. I mean, I recall it being really good eating there so as a take out, it didn’t disappoint. I do wish though, they gave more of their white sauce. Only one small container. Do I use it on the pita or the meat or the fries? Is it expensive to make? Just saying. When you dine in, they serve you extra in a gravy bowl... anyways, the meats itself are filled with so much flavor as is, I shouldn’t be complaining about sauce. There can never be enough white sauce if y’all ask me...
.
.
So stop by @obagrillgyro for outdoor seating for take out. You will not be disappointed!

Second to last meal I was able to dine out, the lamb chops from @obagrillgyro - $14.25 for small (shown)
.
.
It was delicious, and had I know it was going to be so good, I should have gotten the large. At least then I would maybe have leftovers, just maybe. Their food is really good, if only I lived closer. So if you’re in the Forest Hills area and have yet to check out Oba, please do so. You can thank me later.
.
.
But have no fear, while they are closed for dining in due to the mandate, they still offer takeout and delivery. So please (continue to) support your local businesses. .
.
This saddens me much and most of you guys know, I don’t/can’t cook so I eat out or take out majority of my meals... I hope everyone will recover. Looking forward to dining out again. .
